Stevens with a beautiful cross into the box, right to McCoy who heads it in. Duke 2-0

Duke took care of business today. Great job ladies. It’s not as easy as it looks, at this point in the tourney (just ask UNC! ).

    Duke 3 Texas 0.

Dorsey, McCoy and Racioppi with the goals. Stevens with 2 beautiful dimes. (That’s 11 for the season). It really wasn’t in doubt after duke scored early. The defense can usually hold out all game, if we get one goal. Texas did not really threaten all game. From what I saw they really only have one player, Hintzen, that could do anything against us, and Debree and Mitchell were on her like glove. That’s now 16 shutouts (ties school record) on the season for the team, and 12 solo for EJ, who’s now second alltime in Duke history. Only one back of Melissa Carr’s 34.

It’s nice we don’t have to play Friday in snow (WVU last year), and will get to host an elite eight game Friday. Big advantage in women’s soccer IMO. I’m not sure who I would rather have us play. Prob Baylor, as I hate having to play any acc team twice, with a trip to the college cup on the line, and revenge on the minds of the Irish. Either way, they have to stop our potent attack, which won’t be easy for anybody (cept maybe Stanford).

Great job ladies. Rest up and let’s get it Friday

Uh oh, Baylor is coming to town.
If their road fans travel, there will be a bad stench in the air of B.O.
They wear strong 90's cologne, and they YELL their heads off.

Don’t worry, some of the Duke parents can yell just as loud. Plus it’s s Friday evening match. The students AND band will be there. Baylor fans won’t be drowning us out

    Good to hear.
But Baylor fans will still bring strong cologne and flatulence in to Duke's stadium.

Stanford is much better then everyone, including Duke. UCLA is also better then Duke. Duke is a solid team who's taking advantage of the #1 seed to play UNCG and three, average Big 12 teams. They're not beating the the Pac 12 teams.

What makes you think UCLA is better then Duke?! The one weak spot for ucla is their defense. Duke has solid attackers, which will give the Bruin backline problems. I’ll agree with u, that nobody is in Stanford’s realm though.

Both UCLA and Duke are more than good enough to beat Stanford. Penn State might even beat them before that

So Stanford played Utah Valley, Auburn and FSU, a team Duke beat 2-0. UCLA's toughest tournament opponent was Virginia, a team Duke beat twice this year. Not exactly running the gauntlet of challenging opponents but that is the point of being a #1/2 seed. Stanford seems to be the consensus #1 team but UCLA isn't in that class and a Duke-UCLA match up would be a great game (assuming they aren't looking past Friday and can both get there). This is why the tournament is so much fun, you actually have to play the games.

If Mexico can beat the USWNT in 2011 World Cup Qualifying, then Baylor can win this stupid tournament.

Seriously, there were at least 40 teams capable of reaching the College Cup in this tournament (including Princeton). Washington State had a realistic shot. You just never know which group of girls are going to go out there and execute on a given day, and sometimes the ball just bounces favorably for one team over the other.

Even for a select team in multiple games in a row.
Just ask Baylor, but they won't admit their good old fashion dumb luck.

And just ask Abby Wambach as well about that game against Mexico.
She has the staples in her head to prove it.

Stanford will probably get beat at some point (the odds are above 50% they will).
Everyone has put them on a pedestal.
This tournament doesn't seem pedestal like.
Someone new might win it this year (Duke, South Carolina, Princeton, Baylor?)

Or Ashley Sanchez may rip shid up in the College Cup, if she gets there.
And don't count out Penn State and their well balanced team.

You just don't know what's gonna happen.
It's NOVEMBER MADNESS, and that clock will soon turn to December Sadness.

Except for one team who will laugh their jiggly azzes off while hoisting that trophy.

Yessssss Duke! College cup bound. So proud of this team

    Duke 4 Baylor 0.

School record for wins in a season (23)
Most shut outs in school history (17)
    Most home wins
    Most wins over ranked opponents

    Truly awesome.

After such agony of last years unfortunate ending/season, this is sooooo incredible and well worth the wait. Great job ladies.

The Penn State coach after 0-4 loss to Stanford quoted as saying they may be best college team she's ever seen.

That said, Duke can play with them. They may need to catch a break or two, but it is not a given that Stanford wins, should they meet in the finals!

Stanford is really good. They look like champions. But hey, we’ll gladly be the underdogs. Last time out (2015) it almost worked for us.

Your cart is firmly lodged in front of your horse. UCLA is the real deal. Fleming makes that team tick and the offensive tools are somewhat endless. This will be a great match up
