Interview after his first goal of the season: http://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/...new-there-was-one-coming-from-me-3328776.aspx The goal for Holmes is only the second of his career, but more importantly his first playing in claret and blue. The pacey winger claimed he didn’t think too much about the seconds leading up to the effort, he just wanted to let rip. “I didn’t really think about it too much. I took a touch and hit it, and hoped it’d go in. I knew there was one coming for me, so I’m glad it came today," he said. “It’s about the team, and we’re on a good run at the minute. Long may that continue. We will take this momentum into Tuesday night.”

Walsall 1-4 Scunthorpe. Scunthorpe are on top of League One at the moment. Holmes started and played 77 minutes. This move seems to be going well for Duane...if he keeps this up, he might find himself dating Sporty Spice soon enough

Scunthorpe wins at Chesterfield 3-0 and continues to pad its lead sitting atop of League One. As a versatile midfielder and key member of what could easily be a Championship club by next year, Duane should be one for Klinsmann to monitor for the future if he isn't already.
Gboly Ariyibi 90 for Chesterfield; Duane Holmes 72 min & 60' ASSIST for Scunthorpe. SUFC 3-0 W, 5 pts clear.https://t.co/CBhutbBxzP #USMNT— Roderick MacNeil (@rodmacneil) October 22, 2016
