All that work and he doesn't even get the assist. :ROFLMAO:

Subbed off after 81 minutes, and it's 2-0 late. Keeps them level with Bristol City.

69th minute - Holmes clears the ball of the line to deny Ipswich. The teams are even 1-1 right now but Derby is not playing well

Love Duane. I rate him highly. But it’s been a rough week for him. His toughest since becoming a regular 1st team player at Derby

Holmes goes a full 90 as Derby lose to Millwall 1-0 at home. It's a definite rough patch for Derby and this loss stings badly.

It now sits in seventh place. Sixth place Briston City has a 2 point lead on Derby and Bristol has a game in hand.

Our boy just took like 7 Forest players out with one pass to a wide open Waghorn and he misses wide

    It would've been tasty

Nice pass but another bad loss for Derby this time a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

I watched this game late last night, until sleep overtook me around 70.

Tl; dr: Duane is looking good. Any insight into whether he’ll be called in for March?

    —————
I thought Duane was the best player on Derby, possibly on either team. He certainly looks more proficient technically than the vast majority (or all) of his teammates. I find it telling that he was the guy Ashley Cole would seem to look for first.

Derby could’ve, maybe should’ve, won. If Harry Wilson had Duane’s skill on the ball and vision to go along with his shooting skills, he’d have a case to stay with LFC. I say that make a greater point about Duane’s quality, not about Harry/pool.

Duane’s got every right to feel a bit snubbed if he misses out on a call up in March. I think he’s a perfect fit to pair with McKennie as the more attack-minded of the two 8/10 roles in the 3G system. He consistently beats a man or two to change passing angles and /or open up 10-15 yards of space to drive right at the back line. The only player in the pool I see doing anything close to him is Mendez, but he’s obviously not quite ripe for a full NT call-up. Additionally, Duane’s pace and take-on skills probably put him as at worst a top 4 or 5 choice as a winger, too.

And given that he’s almost serviceable as a fullback, he would be a great roster piece for a tournament. But moreso, if I were just picking an in-form USNT 11 at this moment, he’s playing my Djordje role. And I don’t think it’s super close. I really hope 3G sees it similarly, so we all get a good look at him at the int’l level next month.

Pleasantly surprised by DH. Looks to have significantly improved the past few years, taken full advantage of his opportunities.

I was loving it when he shoved the hell out of the Forest player who kicked out at him as he ushered the ball over the end line.

I also love that he doesn’t shun responsibility and always make the easy path. He’ll make the possession play, but only if his other options are taken away.

I’ve been watching him fairly closely all year, and I feel absolutely certain that he would in all likelihood be the best American CM in MLS were he in our domestic league. I think he’s not getting nearly the pub he deserves from US soccer media.

Scuffed tweeted something the other day that I agreed with, I feel like he would be a perfect fit for the role that Djordie played in Camp Cupcake.

I really hope he gets called in soon so we can see how he compares and looks against international competition. We could use more players with his creativity/vision.
