Amos Magee told me today that MN won't sign a DP before season. Will build core of TAM guys, add DP based on need in summer/next winter.— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) January 26, 2017
Orlando City getting $650k total (450 GAM/200 TAM). GK Patrick McLain also going to Minn. Will have full story up ASAP— Alicia Del Gallo (@OSAliciaD) January 26, 2017
http://fiftyfive.one/2017/01/molino-minnesota-how-happened/ I like it! (Graph also from fiftyfive.one)
Attack looks nice.As others have said 1 or 2 more on the back line would be huge.Like the make up of the squad though.
@andrew_wiebe @empiregass Minnesota's Swedish goalkeeper's last name (Alvbåge) is pronounced Ahlv-bow-guh.— Johan Dykhoff (@JohanDykhoff34) January 27, 2017
http://www.epluribusloonum.com/2017...porting-that-danish-international-set-to-join Danish Media outlet BT is reporting that Kadrii is looking to leave on loan (link in Danish), but the deal would be contingent on Kadrii getting an extension with FCK. The deal is technically in the hands of Kadrii, as he can choose the club that he wants. But, the deal is just as important to FCK since he does not want to leave without knowing what his future may hold. Kadrii apparently appears to have chosen the Loons, meeting with his agent and the team in Arizona (again, according to reports). The only thing missing is an extension. Kadrii recently bought an apartment in a suburb of Copenhagen, so not knowing what his future holds is not ideal for him, which I think we can all understand.
Kadrii is official http://www.epluribusloonum.com/2017...d-bashkim-kadrii-agree-to-terms-one-year-loan
I wonder if Jome will be loaned out this year. In the highlights from the first scrimmage against the Revs he definitely was involved quite a bit and seemed to make several good plays. Still though he definitely a young raw talent who could use real playing time. I like the idea though if the club is looking to create him fully into an attacking fullback, much like the club did with Davis and Venegas.
Gatt! Interesting pickup. Hopefully the injuries stay away. Could be decent depth at winger/fullback.
Was honestly shocked that Gatt is still playing. The guy has had like 3 consecutive knee surgeries. Used to have great potential back in the day with his pace. Definitely don't mind the team taking a flyer on a guy like him.
Montero deal http://www.espnfc.us/major-league-s...ign-ex-sounders-forward-fredy-montero-sources "Because Montero was officially transferred out of MLS in 2014, he is subject to the league's allocation order. One source indicated that Vancouver had a deal in place to obtain the top spot via a trade with Minnesota United, though what the Whitecaps would part with in terms of assets is unknown at this point."
Traded $100k GM & $125k TM in 2018 to @MNUFC along with an international spot for 2017 for the #1 allocation spot. @MNUFC gets the 4 spot. https://t.co/q7jogLxbtU— Taylor Twellman (@TaylorTwellman) February 15, 2017
get back half of what they paid for Molino.— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) February 15, 2017 not sure its half? 450k of GM is still an absurd amount but good bit of business I would agree— Taylor Twellman (@TaylorTwellman) February 15, 2017
Gatt is now official http://www.mnufc.com/post/2017/02/15/josh-gatt-signs-mnufc Lot of injury prone guys in the squad, but that's not bad for offensive depth. Heath has said he does not envision Gatt as a possible RB at the moment.
I'm hearing @NERevolution dealing Bobby Shuttleworth to @MNUFC for Femi-Hollinger Janzen. Revs lighten GK logjam, gives Loons another vet GK— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) February 15, 2017
Rumor. Swiss right back Jérôme Thiesson Coming to Minnesota United http://www.epluribusloonum.com/2017...ked-mnufc-to-swiss-right-back-jerome-thiesson
Looks like it is getting done. (From 55.1) Jérôme Thiesson to join Minnesota United Swiss right back Jérôme Thiesson is set to join Minnesota United from Swiss club FC Luzern according to Goal.com. Minnesota will reportedly send $50,000 of General Allocation Money to Toronto FC because Thiesson was on Toronto’s double secret probation discovery list. Transfrmrkt has Thiesson’s value at €900,000. The 29-year-old Swiss defender should slot into the starting lineup at right back. - See more at: http://fiftyfive.one/2017/02/news-b...ayne-shaw-steals-hearts/#sthash.T7WdTHKu.dpuf ----- http://mlsmultiplex.com/2017/02/21/minnesota-united-reportedly-sign-swiss-full-back-jerome-thiesson/ Terms have apparently been agreed upon, and Thiesson is now just awaiting his P1 Work Visa. Which may or may not be processed in time for Thiesson to be available for Minnesota’s season opener.
I guess on some of these players we are giving some good faith to Adrian and Manny. We certainly needed something different at RB.
