Since we initially said it'd be fine for me to give some tips on older players (you didn't need any for the A squad anyway though I can see!) @thebigman, I'll add you 3 suggestions to complete the squad (feel free to ignore though):

    Emerson Leao (GK)
    Clodoaldo (DM/CM)
Careca (Striker - you probably know him I think anyway; an alternative would be Arthur Friedenreich I guess - there are even a few clips on YouTube for him even though he is an ancient player!).

Especially with it being the Brazil Reserves squad, I'm thinking it's ok for me to help with the scouting (since you initially asked if I'd partner you again too, and instead you've done great with drafting 3 quality squads).

No problem, you can consider it done, but obviously you're free to make an amendment if it's before Peru FC shows us his Germany squads and the Africa one (and then I kick off the threads).

I think they'd be decent choices anyway though (borderline A/B squad players maybe, and they match what you'd need position wise to make the replacements needed).

Do you want to confirm which Emerson you picked in midfield before I announce all the squads too mate: the one that played for Roma maybe? Or the ex-Middlesbrough player?

On that note, if you did still want to replace an Oscar or someone else, and you decided on Juninho for example (although you may have already thought about and ruled out both) let us know which one of course too!

Germany reached a Solomonic agreement about the partition into 2 balanced squads and decided that they could do it by separating 2 large periods: the first until the mid 1970's and the second since the late 1970's (more or less).

They reached a Solomonic agreement but still select nazi players. Fabulous.

    I see. Interesting.

Guess a similar proposition wouldn't fly in the British Isles draft as the Queen wouldn't allow any secession, even by timeline!

Sure mate, but I really wasn't kidding (Harder was among my options).

I guess there is some sensitivity that I'm not familiar with.

(for all discussion but please allow me to post squads before starting to discuss - in the meantime I'd suggest all comments get posted in this 'Draft anyone?' thread still)

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/all-time-world-cup-game-line-ups-results-updates-fixtures.2105346/
(for all updates, starting with a list of the opening fixtures which I'll post soon - they are easy to work out though anyway as it will be team 1 playing team 2, and team 3 playing team 4 in each group)

What is possible if you still want Peru, is to integrate some of these players into Germany-A and/or Germany B. You don't have to though, but I know you checked with me if you should change any A squad players, and since you value this 'C' squad and maybe some were ruled out by the Solomonic agreement policy...then maybe you would like to have the choice....

It would have to be done ASAP though, just after you submit your Africa squad, and you would have to make me aware you want to do it of course (before you submit your Africa squad). I could wait 30 minutes possibly if you were logged on relatively early in my evening time today.

The Africa squad is the priority anyway definitely, but if you do want to shuffle any of the above into an A or B German squad then late changes aren't disallowed at this stage (but we're really at the moment where we need to move on from squad selection now and I'll be ready to finalise the posting of the squads on the new thread, announce fixtures/deadline and send PMs to everyone).

Thanks. I thought having the squads easily available would be a good idea at the start of that new thread. Copying and pasting the nice lists already shown in here does speed it up a bit for me though, so thanks everyone for that!

Just to confirm @Perú FC - no need from my perspective to write any squads out again for Germany. You could just instruct me that you want some players in (and which players would come out). Your squad lists are visible (including links) on this thread of course, but the full confirmed squads would all be shown at the start of the main thread I made today.

Maybe you don't want to move any 'C' players into Germany A/B anyway though and are happy to retain the squads as they were before (which is fine), but I thought I'd check and make the offer.

Actually, that was a time limited offer re: Germany to be honest!

I didn't specify the period it was available for, but it's ended now lol, so the only thing for Peru FC to do imminently is confirm the Africa squad.

I am going to go ahead and post group 5 squads now, but I will add the Africa squad to the main thread in an additional post as soon as I can (soon after Peru picks the Africa squad, but maybe with several hours gap if he does it tonight, UK time).

I will be starting the PMs soon too now, so can you all get ready to think about sending your line-ups (for all 4 of your teams - check the main discussion thread I posted a link to earlier today for rules/instructions and the other thread for fixtures and deadlines)….

Ok, great, I'll get those players (minus the unlucky 13 reserves) listed in the main thread, for the Africa squad, and then we can have all our discussions in there and leave this thread for the next drafts/games.
