still wonderin if we will have support by the PA (aka the music actually playing) for this.. like in this IMPRESSIVE gladbach rendition: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFptkd5njlc"]YouTube- Borussia - Bremen 30.8.08 Döp Döp Döp[/ame] i kinda wish Union would hire a crazy german announcer tbh. and on a side note. we REALLY need to get the whole stadium to scream the "UUUUU" sound in Union during some cheer, because that's seriously one of the best things about our name. Just ask Eric McCooooo or *cough* Mooooose Johnson.
I would prefer as little PA music as possible. I think fans will become too dependent on it and more likely to sit on their hands if no music is being piped in. Plus there's nothing better to me than pure, unadulterated fan-generated noise.
I think this needs to happen on opposing goal kicks. "UUUUUUUUU-nion!" when the keeper kicks the ball.
Now batting, leftfielder, number 29, Raul ... Ibanez. RAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL! or Now batting, catcher, number 51, Carlos ... Ruiz. CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCH!
Or when a certain Moderator swears up and down for weeks about showing up for FirstKick, only to start the bailing out process 4 days beforehand? DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCHE!!!!
I had no clue about this song before Thursday, except some of the random posts here on BS. It kinda grew on me.
I agree. It would be better than that lame chant everyone else in the league does when the opposing 'keeper takes a goal kick.
Well we need to train our drunken masses to not sing it unless there is a goal. I just refused to "sing" (can you really sing a beat?) that song when it was started up.
Correct. I think you can sing it before/after a match, but during a match it's a goal celebration thing.
I got it. Was trying to be facetious ... as in how could the song have been sung on Thursday when the Union failed to put the ball in the back of the net? That.
This is a legit question cuz they play it over a sound system of some of the German youtube vids. I wouldn't mind either way.
So after the initial elation of Le Toux's first goal, I was eagerly awaiting to hear the PA break into the Doop song like they do at Gladbach. I assume the supporters section did it anyway, but you definitely couldn't hear it from the midfield. Dear Union: At PPL, please pump the song over the PA. TIA
