That's what we're on the verge of, no joke. Once upon a time, there was a team in a tournament who got grouped with their bitter rivals. They tied them in group, but because both teams won against the other opponents in the group, only one of them could qualify 1st out of group. The other would most assuredly get the Wild Card. That was, unless, for some odd reason, the top team out of the group gave up 1 little goal. So, knowing all of this and playing on adjacent fields, the 1st place team's goalkeeper threw the ball into the back of his own net, thereby ensuring that their bitter rival would not go through to the next round. For his troubles he was given a yellow card, but in his own words "It was worth it!". You should have seen the other team, eliminated on points by such a deliberately malicious move. Priceless.
