That's dope! Did you ever watch a match at the Stade de Genève? I grew up in Le Lignon, so I used to take a short 30 minute bus-ride over to the stadium on match days. Damn, I miss home haha

NMSU, they are the Aggies as well. They actually have the same color as TAMU so even when I am wearing Aggie gear, most people thing TAMU.

Le Lignon is huge! I remember the first time I saw it, massive. I lived in Meyrin and Nyon for about 8 months back in the late 1990s, when Servette last won the championship, LNA back at the Stade de Charmilles. I have seen at least three matches at the Stade de Geneve, nice place. Twice against Thun, and once against Schaffhausen.

I know NMSU, vaguely. I went to Arizona. You and UNM can stay in the WAC/MW respectively. A guy I know dropped out of UA to go to school in NM. Eastern New Mexico...

I'm not down with that. New Mexico is basically a square, that state gets cut in half twice for its regions; NE, NW, SE, SW. New Mexico does not get to have an Eastern part.

It's like Northwest New York. It can't exist.

It's New Mexico. If it's not green chili or Los Alamos, who really cares one way or the other?

Not that anyone cares, but there are 4 non-flagship public universities in NM other than UNM and NMSU. Western NM in Silver City, Eastern New Mexico in Portalas, New Mexico Highlands in Las Vegas and New Mexico Tech in Soccoro.

And yes the Green Chili is amazing! Also there is some really good skiing in NM. Taos is great, as well as Angel Fire and Red River.

    Now, back to the thread!

FCSG wins 2-1. They were the better team, return leg next week. Maybe Manneh will get in this weekend against Sion.

Not a good sign when your an attacking player and your team is down 2 and you don't get the call.

Figure of the other 7 subs, 2 were defenders and one was a GK. That means there were 4 attacking choices. And Kekuta was 4th. (I haven't seen the box score. There could have been injuries to the defensive players that could have burned some subs.)

Here is the matchcenter - http://www.sfl.ch/fr/superleague/matchcenter/match/1647cbfd72699f972436272a0dfc4c8d-1/sg-sio-13212/

Match was 2-2 then Sion scored in the 83 and 94. The FCSG manager only used 2 subs, and one was the winning goalscorer from the Europa League match, Buess, but only in the 94'. The other sub was a right winger for the captain, and goalscorer.

I am not the manager, but this seems to be a little odd substitution. You have 5 matches in 3 weeks, with a trip to Norway thrown in there. I would think that once you went down today, go for the gusto and try and get the draw.

2nd leg tomorrow. FCSG was the stronger team, despite giving up the red card and goal. They will be in Norway.

Highlights from the 1st leg are here. It will give you a look at the Red Card.

The match ticker I follow has him as Gambian though.

St. Gallen losing 1-0 with 25 minutes to go, so they need to score or they're out.

Final score 1-0, so FCSG is out. Manneh did not get off the bench. FCSG had a great chance with about 5 min left, but the shot was put over. That red card and subsequent free kick fro the first leg looms large now.

Back to the league with Thun at home.

Again, not a good sign when you're an attacking player and your team needs a goal and you don't get subbed in.

I know nothing about the team but Thun (pronounced toon, for those who are curious) is an adorable town on the opposite end of Lake Thunersee from Interlaken. If I were gonna sit the bench for a team in Switzerland, that's where I'd personally want to do it!
