I only watched about 30 minutes but to me, looked pretty much like the same guy I used to watch during his 4 seasons at Vancouver. It would be impressive if Pachuca can get some growth out of him as a player.
I can see him getting a lot of minutes... with the U20. The Colombian Dairon also looked like someone living his last day on the job.

I know. He was playing first team for the Caps when he was 18 and I think he got the idea what he was doing was fine. He was the same player when he left 4 yrs later. Probably too late to get much of a change out of him but it will be good to make him fight for a spot.
And Jorge Villafana and Ventura Alvarado get shuffled off to the U20 squad sometimes as well. And then they would start for the 1st team. It's not an exile.
Players that come in the winter transfer rarely start playing right away. He will probably get alot of playing time in the cup.
Yep they’re just giving him PT right now. The team had done a decent job of not bothering the U20 team with overage players. Like 2 years ago you would see 5 old main squad players playing with the U20 team but I guess they realized they’re only hurting the young players by doing that.

From what I got to see really bad. The whole team played bad and disjointed. That's the problem when playing with a 100% b team.
I didn’t watch the game but overall the new players have all been terrible. The striker Walter Gonzalez I think was subbed out and it took a youth about 5-10 minutes to score. Manneh overall has terrible ball control. He might be better as a striker tbh. Gotta give them a chance. Palacios who was pretty good in Argentina looks terrible as well but I’m hopeful some of them will pan out. Pretty happy they didn’t get rid of players as well.
Manneh is a player who never developed past his pure athleticism. Doesn't look much different at 23 than he did at 20. A project is an understatement.
Personally, I think he's a very bad fit in MX. Should have found his way to the English Championship.
give it a rest! we get it...you think manneh sucks and has a 0% chance of doing anything with Pachuca..... It's basically still his preseason....give him some time to get acclimated to a new team/country/league/season before heaping on the negativity please.
He's not the only one saying this sort of thing. And he's not just saying it about Manneh, so let's not jump on negative opinions just because they're negative. They're allowed.
He played with the U20. Scored a penalty in the first half but was ejected in the second. We lost 2-1.
Still scratching my head over why Pachuca thought it would be a good idea to get a player with KM's characteristics.
Those pure athlete type players do sometimes have a place in MX. His best chance is probably striker.
Went back to playing with the U20 team after two weeks out (first week he couldn’t play because of a previous ejection and last week simply didn’t make the squad). Not much to say on performance. Even if these games were viewable, the level of the U20 league is so low, very little can be made of a performance.
