Some comments from the manager, which based on a skim and a Google translation don't seem too harsh, despite Haji's lack of goals. For a free transfer on a short-term deal, I guess there's not much reason, but perhaps also a sign that they are OK with giving him more time. They scouted him for a while and seem to have a good idea of what they were getting.

absolutely not. Do you think Haji could score 20 goals in MLS? Highly doubt it

    He wouldn't start at MLS.

Please don't drink and post if a few beers make you act like a dick.

No one is commenting for your insight or your amusement.

I post when i watch. Who here has watched a game? No one. But posting as if you watch is being fraudulent.

I don't post when I'm watching if I'm watching more than two games. It's impossible to manage when you're paying attention to 3-6 screens simultaneously.

I'm busting a nut. That is all.

(1980's meaning of the phrase, not the 2000s... to be clear...)

Gotta score some goals these next two months. Haji must be kilking it in practice to keep getting these starts, btw.

They just don't have anyone better and they're (very likely) going down.

According to whoscored he was the 2nd best player on the pitch after their goal scorer. It's not much but it seems he was a bright spot when everyone else was pretty awful.

    Last second equalizer!

Groene Ster is in 3rd place in one half of the Dutch fourth tier, which is literally a Sunday amateur league. This is an abysmal regular-time result; good for Haji to save Venlo from a humiliating defeat.

Google and Flashscore are giving the goal to Soriano. They're being consistent in not giving goals or assists to our guys, LOL.

Man, how bad do you have to be to be taken to penalties by a bunch of busboys and grocery store clerks?

The Green Star amateur kids will remember this day as the highlight of their youth, and at least Wright made people laugh with his shot from the spot. So it wasn't a total loss.

Move to USL League One maybe

  21. They're not the first Eredivisie club eliminated by an amateur club, and for sure they're not the last either.

It'll be totally - and I do mean totally - overshadowed by the PK miss. "Can't do it when he's under the spotlight" and all that.
