    You don't know dark.

I'd rather die than be disenfranchised. I spent the better part of my pre-teen years under don't ask segregation, and a few under legal segregation.

Perhaps the thread should be renamed, "Will they let us vote next time?"

Well that's a duh. I've been banging my head against the wall for years on this board pointing out that Presidents have nothing to do with oil prices, and not much more to do with GDP growth.

Then they get evaluated, largely, based on GDP growth.

Republicans (naturally) screw this up more than Democrats, but plenty of Dems get it wrong, too.

Bump. Half of Republicans believe the president should close down media outlets. The same half, in all likelihood, who think he should be allowed to cancel elections if need be.

Since this thread was last open, QAnon has emerged. Trump's supporters wore shirts saying they'd rather be Russians than Democrats. He has convinced 40% of the public of a massive witch hunt against him.

Who here thinks those people ought to be allowed to prepare food on their own, much less vote?

A person with a disability can trained to prepare food,so sure..
And if we start restricting voting rights due to IQ- well I dunno.
    Maybe instead....
Confront the ideas and break it down in front of them.
Let them see how wrong they are. Then offer them opioids for their headache.

Their ideas and strongly held Whitelandian beliefs are challenged daily by TrumpCo's constant f#ck ups and meanness to people who aren't Trumpers. Yet 40% still thinks he's the FDR of Opioidia and the lib'rul media is lying to them.

    Re-education camps at a minimum.

They frankly aren't challenged outside the MSM bubbles which the posters on this board immerse themselves in.
And actively advocating for reeducation camps confirms one of the altrights greatest tropes regarding FEMA/Jade Helm/Agenda21.
The only way this is done without massive violence is to have white people, individually and in small groups face the reality that they aren't better than anyone else and are as unlikely to enter the 1 percent as the people they envision them selves as better than.
That's a painful reality for some to face.

You better come up with some good internet memes, the young generations seem to only be able to communicate/"debate" with memes.

    And yes Dapip #bothsidesdoit

It's a joke. But we do have to find a way to prevent Whitelandians from ever doing this again. Election shenanigans seems like the best way. We'd just be doing what Republicans have been doing for decades.

IMO, and I am sure none of you will agree, but you can't continue to close down debate to just the Republicans and Democrats.

I don't even care about ideas or anything else, those two labels are so toxic neither side will EVER accept the other. This started before Trump or Obama and it just continues to get worse.

I'd be interested to see what the numbers are like regarding Never Trump republicans. Probably 90+% of the people I know who identify as Repubs are in the Never Trump camp, and do not buy into his anti-media agenda. They actually don't buy into any of his agenda.

Trump isn't a Republican, he's just co-opted the worst of that party, so when I see a poll that says "Republicans" I wonder if it means people who are registered as repubs or Trump supporters.

Methinks its the latter in this case.

It’s self identified Republicans. Party affiliation is one of the questions pollsters ask.
