Here's a picture of Helmes in the DFB Cup match:

This guy is just tearing it up right now.

Also, Ballack made his comeback in our friendly match against Wehen-Wiesbaden today. It was a 4-0 win for Bayer 04, with Barnetta scoring twice, Derdiyok once, and Risse once.

The defense looks horrible. We could've given up two goals by now...

I think he wanted to shoot the penalty and after the goal Vidal went to the sideline instead of partying with Ballack. Work for the coach. ;)

But anyway, congrats on a very good result. :)

kicker reports here that Schalke made a 14M Euro offer for Stefan Kiessling!!

However, it looks like both the player and the club told Schalke to go F themselves!

It quotes Kiessling as saying, "I didn't extend my contract with Leverkusen through 2015 just to turn around and leave a few months later."

Well done Bayer. Well done.

1-0 B04! Barnetta celebrating in front of a good away support at the north end of the Westfalenstadion.

    ^^^^

    Cris, it should be 1-1.

But Bayer deserves that lead. Bayer has been the far better team so far.

The offsides call was extremely close. I'd like to see the attacking team get the benefit of the doubt in those situations. Still, though, the better team is in front right now.

    Nothing special.

But Heynckes had your team ready and they kicked our asses.

Well deserved guys. Congratulations and well-deserved.

    Tough loss.

For what it's worth, Michael Bradley completely dominated Vidal and Ballack. ... Wait, what?!
