I thought Neuer was poor to say the least and better sides could have taken advantage of how shakey he looked.

When and where was this? Are you sure you're thinking of Manuel Neuer?

Totally disagree. If anyone was shaky, it was Adler. I think he was going to lose the job even if he hadn't gotten injured.

I don't know what you were seeing. I HATE Scheisse 04, but Neuer is easily the best German keeper right now.

Definitely will be curious to see how Leverkusen does in both the league and Europe.

I meant for Germany mate, Neuer really didn't impress me.

I've got no hate against any side in the Bundesliga to be honest so my opinion is completely neutral in that way.

Ironcially the player I most dislike in the league is Ballack. :p

Like I said though, he's here now and he gets a clean slate.

I meant all around. Club and country.

And you're about the only one Neuer hasn't impressed.

Again, I wasn't referring to merely club performance. I was referring to everything. Club and country.

Because of his Chelsea ties, correct?

That's funny. I support your main rivals in England and I actually like many of your players.

I don't like any of my rivals, none. I do however respect some more than others. I've got a lot of time for Fletcher whom I believe to be vastly underrated by a large amount of people.

I don't like Ballack because he's just never come across as that likable regardless of him playing for Chelsea. I didn't much like his game at Chelsea either whereas Robben, Cole, Kalou (gets far too much stick) and Drogba (when he isn't rolling about like a tart) I would happily have had in the Liverpool team but can't say I much liked any of them including Cole when he left West Ham.

Neuer is a good young keeper who may improve to the level necessary and he has impressed me in club games but for Germany he just didn't.

In my eyes the greatest club in britain is still liverpool

Well he did have some wierd moments like for the goal against england....but his distribution is awesome, and he's got that X-factor like schmeichel or kahn had...if i had to pick for the future i would take him over adler, who to me doesn't quite have that, or the presence that neuer has (similar to schmeichel or kahn).

OK. We give our opinions and discuss, we don't have to agree or understand.

    Thanks for clarifying your opinion.

oh you might not agree or understand but I will always at least try to clarify what I'm saying.

I can't stand ignorant posts that just deem someone to be the best or worst player in the world with no reason as to why that might be the case.

"Fletcher is ****" is one you see quite a bit on stupid Liverpool forums.

Helmes is continuing to stake his claim to a starting spot at Leverkusen. I won't give away the result of the match, but Helmes scored in Germany's friendly against Denmark.

He should start ahead of him. Of our three strikers, Helmes should be the least worried about his starting spot at the moment. He's been in great form and not playing him would be stupid.

Projected lineup from the club: Adler - Schwaab, Friedrich, Hyypiä, Castro - Vidal, Reinartz - Renato Augusto, Barnetta - Kießling, Helmes

Things sure are going to be crowded this season. Just imagine when you can swap Vidal and Reinartz in defensive midfield for Ballack and Rolfes. Wow.

Don't forget you guys still have Bender for that position as well. You guys are finally building something necessary to compete in multiple competitions, depth.

I hope so. I want some silverware this season. Any of the three will do. I'm not too picky. :D

    Wow.

11-1! Helmes with a hattrick, Kiess with two, Sidney Sam with two, Deridyok with two, Augusto with one, and Vidal with one. What a beating.

Helmes + Kiess/Derdiyok. It has to be Helmes + whoever at this point in time.

He should be good to go, didn't really need him today. Still needs to regain full matchfitness though but that should come in time.

Still a bit too early for him according to Leverkusen, guess they didn't want to risk it and let him heal completely. They're hoping he'll be good to go against you guys in a weeks time.
