Haha, OMG, how could the Rennes player put that ball NOT in the net? Unbelievable!

Utaka fumbling that one was definitely world class, lol. Most couldn't have done that even if they were trying to.

Ah, 2:0. Good to see two Bundesliga teams winning away matches.
Let's hope HSV will do the same!

Fvcking lucky, but hey, its nice to celebrate something every now and then :) this one result already puts us in an excellent position to qualify. I expect atleast 4 points from the next 3 games(and that's the absolute minimum) and that should easily be enough to send us through.

Very good results today for Germany. :)
Makes hope after the "temperate" start of most of the teams.

    My ratings:

Hildebrand 6 - looked unsure at times but he didn't let in any goals.
Stranzl 5.5 - A little error prone, but not terrible.
Meira 6.5 - Solid as usual.
Delpierre 6.5 - A few lapses in defense but overall solid, and if anyone should be thanked for our lucky lead, it should be Delpierre just as much as JDT.
Magnin 5.5 - Not horrible, but wasn't good either. In fact, he was poor.
Soldo 6 - Unspectacular but he did his job.
Hitzlsperger 6 - Average, however it is an improvement on alot of his performances for us since joining.
Gronkjaer 5.5 - An off-day, though he did look dangerous at times. I wouldn't have taken him off so early.
Tiffert 6 - Didn't play well, but fought and ran alot and earned the penalty.
Cacau 5 - Poor, way off his best imo.
Tomasson 6 - Missed one good chance in the first half, and lost the ball alot. An off-day, but it's all ok 'cause he did what he does best, which is put the ball in the back of the net.

    Subs:
Ljuboja 6 - Made a stupid dive in the penalty box to earn a yellow and didn't do too well, but to see him score his first goal for VfB from the penalty brings his grade up a little.
Carevic - - Didn't see enough of him to grade him.

Back from the bar where i saw the Leverkusen game.

    We are completely unlucky:
    - 1 regular goal for us not given
    - The Leverkusen goal was offside
    - We hit the post twice and had a shot saved by a defender off the line.

It was an outrageous refereeing performance, well linesman performance and it stole us a comfortable win(i wonder whether there were any discussions with the Croatian mafia). A point in Leverkusen is not a catastrophe but we clearly deserved two more. It's a shame, but atleast for the first time this season i can say that i was truly pleased with how we played and after our two games this week, i definetely have a little more confidence in Trap again. But now we must continue the good form we showed in the last two games and beat Hannover next Saturday!

Mmmm, i wish i had Sport1 and Sport2 over here...

i must admit though that i'm pretty pleased with being first, quite a feat considering i went into this week 10 points behind.

    DFB-Pokal match tonight.

Against Rostock. No pushover, and i still remember the beginning of our downfall that we haven't gotten over yet was when we lost 2-1 in Rostock last year. No pushover, but i still expect us to reach the next round.

    AUSWAERTSSIEG!

    Change at half-time.

    Gentner on for Soldo.

I'm pessimistic about the chances of this changing anything at all.
