Make no mistake about it, these players had designs on winning the league. But with the pace that has been set it left little room for error and plenty of room for pressure. With every dropped point their ambition starts to look unrealistic and confidence is damaged. Doubts creep in.

With this win today, I'm pretty sure DeFra just earned himself another contract. The year 2014 when Eusebio was fired in January, brought back in March and lost to Inter 0-7, must seem like eons away! Bravo Eusebio!

Just saying how Eusebio overcame adversity with Sassuolo only four years ago to winning and beating Barcelona in an incredible fashion is quite accomplishment to him as a manager.Very few managers in the world can boast a track record like that. Being fired and losing like he did all in nine months time to beating Barça 3-0 four years later. Who would have thought this now but especially back then? He went from chump to champ! Great coaching job DiFranceso! I hope it continues onto the final.

I can't believe he tried that formation. After he played Jesus at RB, I thought he was the reincarnation of Zeman who would die before tinkering.

Maybe Zeman's tactics and formation weren't all that far fetched? :):):)

Wild rumor that Di Franceso is on Chelsea's shortlist of managers to replace Conte. Sarri is the favorite, however.

Yeah I am not convinced that Montella can do a better job. The initiative from the club though that they are considering a new coach is encouraging. Either it will push EDF to perform and not take his position for granted or if he fails they will replace him.

Ancelotti doing the same for Napoli.

Don’t you think it is more down to the management that leaves these coaches unsure how to play?

    How?

We don't have access to the full situation on what is going on behind the doors. All we know is the Monchi has been working with EDF on improving the squad. Yet EDF is not performing as expected.

Because Alisson, Naingollan and Strootman are leaders and top performers.

It takes time for a team with youngsters to gel.

EDF didn’t want Nainggolan or Strootman anymore. He prefers jabroni Italian midfielders Cristante and Pellegrini smh. So thats on him. Spalletti would have made do with this squad. Guaranteed. Well, he probably would have seen value in Ninja/ maybe Stroot and told Mongo to keep them.

He has made mistakes, Atalanta being the biggest as he didnt react to what was clearly happening and waited until half time and 3 goals conceded but he still deserves time to make his changes work..or not. Christmas is a better time frame to judge but this doesnt fill a webpage. Journalists as per usual talking shit.
