What do you think, I had this to say http://www.asroma.com/en/news/2017/6/opinion-di-francesco-brings-old-knowledge-and-new-ideas-to-Roma
Even though, I almost stopped dead after reading the first sentence ( color when it is colour ) - pretty good article, I think our new boy might not do too bad. Aslong as he learnt absolutely and I mean absolutely nothing from Zeman, then it will be ok.
Really good article. I particularly like the part that he says he borrowed parts from various coaches.
Trying to figure out who will be the back-up to Diddy in the 4-3-3. Seri seems to play more as a wing-midfielder rather than defensive midfielder, can't see him protecting a defense. I can't see Paredes staying if Seri is bought though, looking at this logically and financially.
FourFourTwo released it's top 50 coaches in the world. ESB checked in at 23 and Spalletti at 24. https://www.fourfourtwo.com/us/feat...ball-managers-world-2017-25-21?utm_m_medium=t
Absolutely nothing? That's nonsense. There are many parts of zemans game that should be studied and learned from, you just need to tone it down a notch or two in attack
Zeman's offensive movement is incredible. It's far deeper than just pressing and hoping for the best. He's an architect of diagonal lines.
Do we really have to mention Zeman again? That horse is dried up and wrinkled flogged to death and still we're beating it.
As much as I loved Spalletti it is rather nice to see the calm that is EDF as opposed to the all out war between LS and the press.
Initially when started shouting at kids in Pinzolo I thought we are seeing a different guy than he actually looks. But everything since suggests he is definitely a player coach. Shaking hands, high five-ing, hugging in every possible occasion.
I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Conte is as well. Also if you guys don't like this thread name I will change it
A player coach is good for kids. Roma needs an A-hole coach. Our players don't lack motivation, they lack confidence and mental toughness.
Hmmm... that's quite the conundrum. Usually, I would argue almost always, motivated people are both confident and mentally tough.
Derossi: "We’re working to assimilate EDF concepts, which are similar to those of Zdenek Zeman, which is great news when it comes to attacking"
I am worried on the defensive phase, but this team has played a high line for years - really since LE. Nothing new there.
