    Very excited!!!

While there are no particular matches I'm looking forward to seeing, I just like the idea of the simulcasts so you can watch all at once

Berliner AK plays Regionalliga Nord which is currently the 4th division. Preußen Münster plays 3rd Liga.

6 Buli clubs got home matches vs. 2nd Buli clubs.
Two draws with Buli club away at a 2nd Buli club.
Two Buli clubs away at 3rd Buli clubs.
    One Buli vs Buli draw.

    Karma?

I just wondered when the matches will take place and whether or not they will be televised, like the 1st round of matches were, but I hope Felix doesn't sit back on this one, remember what happened last year, us being eliminated by a then-4th division club (Red Bull Leipzig) in one of the early rounds, hopefully we will be ready and not take this one with a nonchalant attitude like we did last year. I've heard that 2. Liga clubs can be pretty dangerous sometimes as they are more than motivated to get back to top flight as well as wanting to knock off "one of the big boys" on their way to doing just that.

    1. Hauptrunde: 17.-20. August 2012 (Fr.-Mo.)
    2. Hauptrunde: 30./31. Oktober 2012 (Di./Mi.)
    Achtelfinale: 18./19. Dezember 2012 (Di./Mi.)
    Viertelfinale: 26./27. Februar 2013 (Di./Mi.)
    Halbfinale: 16./17. April 2013 (Di./Mi.)
    Finale: 1. Juni 2013 (Sa.)

All matches are televised live by SKY. Dont know if you will get it in the US but there should be some decent streams. Then there are always two matches available in free tv(one on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday) shown on the public channels ARD and ZDF. Most likely one of them is Bayern vs Kaiserslautern. The teams who participate in this games get a bit more tv revenues than the others. They do generally do some highlights like in Sportschau about the other matches. The exact dates and time of each game will be announced in a few days.

Its not just 2nd Buli clubs, it is all those Davids out there wanting to beat their upper counterparts. That's what cup is all about and there is a saying "Der Pokal hat seine eigenen Gesetze" roughly translated "the Cup has its own laws". The problems for 2nd buli teams is they are considered to be pro teams like 1st Buli teams which means they dont get automatically home field advantage. Which in the case of Kaiserslautern can mean you play Bayern away as a 2nd Buli club. And 2nd Buli clubs are not that "underestimated", in case they are, like even lower tier teams.

In the USA ESPN3 has the rights for the DFB Pokal matches. I think they still do have rights to show them despite allegedly losing the Bundesliga

As Footyfan said on FB, no real upsets but a few surprises in games being closer than expected for a few teams (*cough* Koeln, Augsburg *cough*).

I *AM* hoping for a few upsets tomorrow. A big, red upset. ;D

Could be some interesting fixtures. Köln v. Düsseldorf ;)(or levi), München Derby, VfB Karlsruher, Revierderby, H96 Wolfsburg. Fortuna v Köln would be magical with our surprisingly entertaining run of form.

Wrong teams in the Bavarian Derby

    Kickers Offenbach - Fortuna Düsseldorf
VfL Wolfsburg - Bayer 04 Leverkusen
VfL Bochum - TSV 1860 München
    Karlsruher SC - SC Freiburg
    Borussia Dortmund - Hannover 96
    FC Schalke 04 - FSV Mainz 05
FC Augsburg - FC Bayern München
VfB Stuttgart - 1. FC Köln

But if all goes as expected, there is a shot for a Munich derby
