It looks like he could barely contain his excitement at family fun day.

Yet another goal for Dempsey and the Villa midfield lost control of the game in the 2nd half.

What are the odds that he calls some snot-nosed kid a jackwagon? This use of Michael Bradley as a Villa marketing tool could yield some seriously comedic moments.

I mean, how are they going to explain to the kiddies when he's caught eating his usual breakfast of rusty nails and corrugated tin roofing?

Not so cleverly disguised...Petrov and Makoun were pretty bad in the 2nd half. Sidwell and Murphy were controlling the game. They sure could have used a change in midfield at some point in the game.

if I weren't up to speed on MB's loan, I might have thought that was a young Bob Bradley pictured there

Was Deuce playing more in midfield or at forward today?

I'll still say with his finishing that he should embrace his future as a striker.

I think Clint is still a MF but needs the freedom to move forward when he wants. I think he would struggle as a pure forward. He needs his space to create.

and he scores when he plays MF. What team can't use a MF who regularly scores?

Midfielder. He's been playing on the wing since Dembele returned from his injury, and still scoring at a very good rate.

The guy finds a way to score no matter where he's playing.

True. That's why I think of him more as a second striker, something like Cahill's role at Everton.
I'm talking about going forward though. I would think its going to be tough for Dempsey to work as hard all over the field the same at 31 as he is doing now at 28.

Has anyone in the EPL been more important to their team this year than Dempsey? Without him, Fulham would be on their way to relegation.

Barring injuries, I don't think you lose that much over those years.
My bet is that he's in the midfield for the USNT in Brazil.

I don't think it matters what position you are playing when you score on a CK.

If anyone has a screencap of Clint's death stare at Petrov, it'd be much appreciated.

    That was great.

I couldn't get a focused pic with both in frame and unblocked. I guess the first is closest.

Remind me again who was selected best player of the 2006 World Cup?
Remind me again who was generally accepted as the 2nd best player of the 2006 World Cup?

How about the best player award at the 2010 WC? Forlan, 31 (at the time). The man was dynamic.

That hasn't stopped many US fans from counting out Donovan and Dempsey for the next World Cup. I'm simply saying Dempsey may have a better and longer future playing career in Europe and for the Nats if he played striker.
