Man O Man, when Danny Murphy gave up possession on that free from the Dempsey/keeper fiasco, I thought that could be the historic mistake.

But they held on >>> Congrats Fulham!!!!

Great win by Fulham! Clint could have gotten that goal at the end right there if the GK hadn't tripped him up, should have been a red IMO, definite goalscoring chance taken away.

And what's up with Clint and weird injuries? last time he had a shiner vs Juve and now he has a handwrap(?) and it looked like he was favoring it while he was running.

Bring on the FINALS! COYW!!! :D

Hamburg player almost in tears. It's not the Champions League. But it's a great accomplishment for Fulham. I hope not to see an all England final. I like exotic match-ups that European comp produces. I don't want to see the same ol boring contest we've witnessed numerous times. Go Atletico!

Possibly. Jovan Kirovski was at Borussia Dortmund when they won the Champions League. He didn't play in the final though. Only American with a Champions League winners medal though.

Spoiler:Dammit! Liverpool moves into the lead. It looks like it will be an all England final, but Atletico still has plenty of time.

On another note, I can't believe Lucas actually did something for Pool.

Outf*****standing. Simply brilliant. I'm grinning ear-to-ear. The final whistle gave me chills. Craven Cottage was the 12th man tonight. No doubt about it. Fulham weathered the early storm; put their dukes up and went to battle. And like a prized fighter came up with some clever, sneaky but powerful punches to knock the Germans to the canvas. A superb performance from tactics to will power to execution. Fulham brought it and came out victorious. Everyone contributed. Everyone. Dempsey's substitution (and all of Roy's) played huge roles and got them back into the game. I can't say enough about this European run from Fulham. It might be, when all said and done, the most magical European run of recent times. Just look at the names they've beaten. Look at their comebacks and sheer determination. The only thing sweeter would have been to see Mr. McBride, Mr. Fulham part take. I hope he was at home jumping up and down as I was. COTW take Germany by storm and bring the Cup to Craven Cottage!!!!!

whichever the opponent, plenty of firepower...Aguero/Forlan for Atletico, TOrres for 'pool (never mind he's hurt can't make this match)...But Dempsey needs to be ready for this final game, no doubt......

BTW, Johan needs to bring the celebrations from Craven Cottage.... (We are too spoiled, i know)

True, but it's also looking likely that Fulham will make it into Europe either way through the Fair Play ranking.

I hope to ~finally~ get home next Friday, but if for some reason my a**hole boss keeps me here, I am so getting up to Hamburg for the final. I think it's 5-6 hours train. Kind of sucks for Hamburg that they just missed the home game final. They're interviewing Schwarzer now on German TV. His German is pretty good. ;)

Enough of these fake injuries in football. They're sullying the beauty and fairness of the sport. And if you were good enough, you wouldn't need to do it for an advantage.
