Not trying to take away from an amazing goal by implying he didn't mean to do it... well done.

Since you indicated that this was a past rather than a present relationship...

...you sure it wasn't because everyone liked to ride her? ;)

ok, love this goal, but bigger than scoring the goal to keep Fulham up? I think not. This goal isn't what makes him a Fulham legend. He already was one.

Hmmm, hadn't considered that but now that you mention it... When I went with her to visit Blackburn we hit the local pub and several blokes came up and said, " 'ello there Kate, care to go for a quick ride?" She'd say, "Love to, I'll be back in two minutes hon!" But there were no bicycles at the pub, so I was totally confused. Weird huh?!?

Deuce must have a Cray for a brain. Maybe after the WC, he can do some climate modeling during his downtime.

I am sobbing with joy...a grown man at his computer sobbing. That boy has more balls. Love him to death. Came up tough and stayed that way. Who's next, bithces?

I like Hudson's call better than any of the others I've heard (and understood). I haven't had GOL for a while, but I always enjoyed hearing him call games (for the Earthquakes too). A bit much? Maybe. But for me, his call matched the play today!

I know this is meant to be Liverpool, but the first thing that popped in my head was Leicester - LOL. That's plausible.... and it shows I've been here too long. Time to resume lurking...

I'd like to know exactly when that was. Because I would have been VERY surprised to see Liverpool bid on him before last season.

It reminds me of the kinds of goals Eric Cantona used to score. Check out the one below...almost same spot. Dempsey just needed to stop after and look around like "hey did you see that goal? Oh wait it was me..."

Capello may have been watching for Zanimal, but I think he had to take notice of Konchesky. The bald one played a very smooth and confident match. His cross is impeccable. I would take him over an injured Bridge or Bains.

Rather than wade back through the seven pages of posts since my last visit, I figured I would just post a video of the goal plus a postgame interview with Deuce.

    Highlights.

"F Yeah Baby" I've seen him say that quite a few times. As evidenced here...also right after he scores I think he just yells, then comes the "F yeahs."

    Question:

Who is bigger American legend now?

    Brian Mcbride or Clint Dempsey?

Who, exactly, was he crossing it to? [EDIT: Okay, apparently it's possible that he was crossing to Zamora, but it would have been a pretty bad cross to get that much loft on a header, and he would have missed by a wide margin] I've seen crosses that have gone in, but if that's the case here, it was the worst cross Deuce has ever executed.
