Since becoming a libertarian, I sat out W's re-election, voted L for both Obama terms, and voted L for Trump's win. Who did I help/hurt?
That’s another thing that has been bothering me. US Elections are an industry. How long has that been?
So what is the party doing about this? Continue going after “working white males?” I hope they don’t follow your lead.
I have a feeling people/organizations count on election season for end of year profit reports. It’s a business...
Yeah... But that's been the case with elections for, like, ever. In the 1800s newspapers and printing presses probably still accounted for an increase in circulation in election season. Is it really an issue?
I suppose not, but when I hear “Billions” it makes me feel like the real reason for said Elections can be lost.
And why is it that election cycles in the US are as long as WC qualification? I can’t help but think much of it is about how much money the media and other services can squeeze out of it.
Ross Perot set the stage for T-rump - he got 'Muricans thinking about having a crazy billionaire in the white house.
And he allowed a sexual herrasser to win the presidency (Clinton did a good job as president). I guess by your point he allowed 2 of them to do so.
Oh geez not this shit again meme That’s not true. I used to have to debunk this like 5 times a year. It’s been a while. Just search for my mentions of Perot.
Is a retort to anti 3rd party people. People vote 3rd party for many reasons, many would not vote if it was not 3rd party. Perot was a protectionist, He had support by people that today support Sanders and/or Trump. That is the point a 3rd party vote is not an automatic Democratic vote.
Note he said for me. He didn't say conventional wisdom. That is is like saying everybody knows Akron is the worst city in America.
Knave showed Evidence, Vfish talked out his ass. That is the difference. Of the top of my head, I can name a couple of recent races that the third party hurt the Dems. What did Vfish do, go to 1 race in 92? And say that is my proof. Dude come on.
Come for @MarcACaputo and I crunching data about Democratic screw-ups with Florida Hispanics, stay for the brutally hilarious anecdotes about Bill Nelson's ineptitude. If D's don't fix this, Trump probably gets reelected. https://t.co/E2EFQ5IgAL— Michael Grunwald (@MikeGrunwald) December 4, 2018 https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/12/04/democrats-hispanic-voters-2020-222751
More than a bit breathless, considering that Bill Nelson isn't running for President, and the Democrats can win the Presidency without winning Florida. It seems that Florida Hispanics shrug off Trump's Mexico bashing, because they're not Mexican. At least that's the only way I can make sense of their voting.
The question is how many resources you throw at Florida, it was close but is it slipping away? Is not like Ohio for sure. Ds cannot minimize '18 structural failures in Florida. Natl electorate swung 6-7 points towards Ds, no movement in FL. Dems made big gains w/Hispanics nationally, lost ground in FL even w/PR influx. @MarcACaputo & @MikeGrunwald leading interesting twitter discussion now. https://t.co/uukwsMWetC— Simon Rosenberg (@SimonWDC) December 5, 2018
I’m a big fan of posts that try to make a point about gas and the environment because in almost every instance that person still drives a car does so more than say commuting on say a bicycle. I voted Libertarian in 2016 and I rode my bike to my polling station. Want to compare mileage see who is making the bigger impact on the environment? I’ll even do you a favor and not factor training miles into the equation.
Its worth pointing out Rick Scott was a strong candidate and Florida is consistently a razor edge state Of course the loser made mistakes
