Nothing concrete, just that the usual suspects are in the running (NBC Sports Washington, Sinclair, etc).
Junior Moreno and Ulises Segura now have green cards and won't count as international players. Current internationals are Kamara, Asad, Flores, and Sorga (when he gets promoted to the first team), leaving two slots currently open.
Don't we have an international slot going somewhere for 2020 from one of our late season deals? Or was that offset/replaced in another deal?
Like Shawn - United Pass on #69 (and 2 other picks they had in Rd 4) and take only Andrew Verdi of Michigan at #65 .................. another GK earlier post saying no-one chosen blamed on crappy MLS Tracker updates or lack thereof
Looks like no one told Canada there was rounds 3&4 today. I'll admit I completely passed as well. Thx, Jay!
Good piece on Steve Guppy. Forgot all about him. https://theathletic.com/1524702/2020/01/14/steve-guppy-nashville-fishing-interview/

Wow tearing it up!! Flores went on to make 47 appearances for Morelia, scoring 12 goals and recording six assists. Flores scored four goals and recorded six assists in 52 appearances for Aalborg BK. Flores had a stint with Villarreal CF B in the second tier of Spanish soccer when he was acquired by the side from Universitario on Aug. 31, 2012. He scored four goals in 29 appearances before returning to Universitario on March 28, 2014. I would pay DP money for that production. Edison Flores is not the kind of player that will lead the league in scoring, or even his team in scoring. He's more of a dependable, hardworking guy, with plenty of skill, who you can count on being there at the key moment. He's a real humble guy and ends up winning the hearts of the fans with his attitude and work ethic. Nothing flashy; all heart. The only place where things didn't go so well for him was in Denmark. They put him on defensive duty. His strength is in being creative and opportunistic. The MLS favours attack more than defense, so he should do well as long as the community supports him, which is likely to happen.

Oh, would that this were so for Ben Olsen's DC United!
Flores won over fans but he couldn’t win over any team management because they kept shipping him from team to team
Based on the video evidence, he is going to be somewhere between Arriola and good Lucho. The numbers aren't impressive, but he is a good player, and seems to be moving in the right direction.
I'd like to think that he's a more consistent, harder working replacement for Acosta. I'm pleased. We've been railing on management to get young promising talent and build a team around them and this is a step in the right direction. Now, will we see Ben sit him because "he's not yet ready for the rigors of the MLS physical league" or some other nonsense we are commonly told when we bring a player into the league for their first time? Sure. We could see that. Management incompetence could easily quash a skilled player. But that's not his fault.
I'm gonna wait til I see him play before I conclude whether or not I find him "exciting." In the meantime I will remain hopeful. We have enough effin' Eeyores around here (I've been one at times myself).
I guess I saw him play in the WC, but I have no impression of the guy. I hope those of you who are excited are right, since it's a long term contract. We'll see.

My level of excitement is going to depend on what other players get added along with Flores. Flores + the current roster? Eh. Flores + the current roster + Lozano + a new CB + one more attacking piece? Over the moon!
