They were just saying in the Roma section that the hold-up with the Yedlin to Roma deal is that they're trying to get Yedlin his Latvian passport. Might be old, recycled news though.

Edit: I mean that the Latvian passport thing might be recycled as speculation for why he hasn't flown to Rome yet. I'm pretty sure the rumor came from Europe, and there are no sources that are accurate even half of the time on that side of the pond.

Doesn't always happen. Into the 2021 season (I'm a college kid home for the summer. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) in mine and he's still on the team. Doesn't start anymore because he's ancient, but still.

It's not a hard choice between Roma and Napoli if all things are equal, i.e. money.

Why is that worse then somewhere he would sit on the bench for next season? If he goes somewhere like England he'll get like a couple games to prove himself in a cup maybe and if he's bad he'll get buried on the bench until he gets another couple of matches. The initial rumors were that he would go on loan to Genoa, he would be replacing Sime Vrsaljko who played over 20 games last season as a 21/22 year old in his first season in Italy.

I personally think if the Roma option is on the table and the club is offering a loan to a club he'll play then that's a pretty good deal. With our situation at fullback he'll have a relatively quick path to getting games if he impresses. He won't get that same sort of opportuinity

I can never get past 2-3 seasons on manager mode. I just lose motivation. It normally takes me 3 years to turn whatever club I chose into a powerhouse with amazing players. I just know which players to buy early on because of their growth potential then I sell them for ridiculous inflated fees. I used Aston Villa before, refused to sell Benteke till after 2 seasons when he was like an 88 or something and Barcelona wanted him offering 50 million euros. I said I wanted 80 and they just said fine immediately. The 80 million was just more of a deterrent.

Why do we always assume the worst? There's always a good player who is an established starter pretty much everywhere. This place is so Chicken Little.

    http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/calc...in-but-napoli-and-inter-try-to-join-the-race/

This wasn't actually posted by DiMarizo himself rather one of his translators who may not understand exactly how to translate what the story he was given. Which is why he says strange things like he'll be at Seattle "for another season", when he probably means for the rest of the season and I don't know what he meant when he said Inter might try to acquire him via DC United because of Thorir's connections, but that doesn't make much sense.

Anyway, some of the deets in this are strange but I believe the overall story because DiMarizo wouldn't run it on his site.

    Thanks.

Interesting that Inter is now mentioned. Probably a case of bad translation?

No..... I believe the bullet points.

    1) Roma interested and leading.
    2) Napoli and Inter interested.

. . . . And to a lesser extent I believe the club linked that he would go on loan to, Sassoulo. I just don't think he understands the details like when exactly he would be coming if he signed with Roma. Also he says he thinks he'll end up in Serie A, which is likely just opinion. Roma's offer would be a good one and high on the list but I'm sure he's getting other interest. Whatever club that signed him and guaranteed him a good loan is where he should be going imo. Unless he signs with a low quality team where he could start relatively quickly.

I agreed, but I find it hard that a lower team can sign him. I would imagine MLS/Seattle would ask for good money for him.

Makes sense if a bigger team buy him and can guaranteed a loan to a decent lower level team so he could get game times immediately.

I don't understand this Open Cup thing.

Doesn't Seattle and Portland have their own stadiums? Why play on a rec field?
