The title wasn't descriptive enough for me. I'm returning to the free ticket thread.

We've got a new insect to add to the arsenal at RFK: Wasps. There were swarms of them up on the mezzanine level at the Philthy game, last Sunday. I was hoping they would swarm, and sting the shit out of the Sons of Bitches, I mean Ben.

This is what those bad-boys looked like:

Down in NC, they're called Dirt Daubers. They were smaller than the one in this photo, thank God.

Did you tell anyone with DCU?

(not that they'd care, mind; I'm just wondering if you did)

No. Any time we've had a complaint, no one really did anything about it, especially regarding the stadium.

Maybe this is what the cans of Raid were for.

You didn't see any racoons did you? That is called successful pest control. :)

In MD we called them mud daubers.

In SC we had mud daubers, but they weren't wasps, just very wasp-looking, they built more solitary mud nests, daubed on the side of brick, etc (hence the name) instead of bigger community nests.
The whole wasp/dauber/hornet separation confuses me though.

    BTW, beat the Re-Als!!!!!

Should be a good game. Looking forward to seeing the intensity from Espindola and Saborio.

Seems like the cans of Raid should be the next fan give away.

If you bust their nests open, groggy spiders crawl out of them. Fun fact.

As a STH I will be at the match, of course, but I will regret missing the Washington Spirit vs. Houston Dash game at the same time. I was at last week's match vs. Chicago and it was terrific. Something like eight Women's WC players (not just from US) on the pitch and a fast-moving, entertaining game. Great play and a great viewing experience at Soccerplex.

Houston Dash? Could they have picked a more ambiguous nickname? I can think of like 7 definitions of that word off the top of my head.

    Our hopes were dashed
    We dashed out the door
    A dash of salt
    A dashing young man
    Waves dashing against the cliff
    - (punctuation mark)

Yuengling's on draft wasn't bad at all. Damn close to Ivy League, in fact, whatever that means.

Looks like Rimando suffered a knee contusion and is listed as doubtful. I guess that means we'll be facing Jeff Attinella in goal.

Silva is also listed as doubtful.

Perfect time to grab 3 points with RSL's injuries.

Let's just hope Benny doesn't surprise us with a few too.
