I did not watch more than the last 10 minutes. I thought I saw that we had 2/3 of possession in the first half. Is that either untrue or extremely misleading. The PK itself seemed like a good call to me. Not the kind that you'd always get in the run of play or on VAR, but I'd expect to get it.
I was mostly commenting on the play after the red card, which was largely awful (especially the goal) and that we got a goal from a VAR decision that while justified often goes against us. I thought the first half was pretty even, maybe a little tilted towards us, but once we got the man advantage and the Revs played back, we seemed completely lacking in any ideas. I think a tie was a fair result, but given where we were standing before the PK, yeah, we stole one.
I have not posted in a while because I was tired of posting the same sh*t every week. In general, I hate watching games a that stadium. They seem to claim that the dimensions are essentially the same as Audi Field, yet it plays much smaller. I can only assume that it is the turf. Balls tend to bounce higher and run faster. So the game often degenerates into a back and forth midfield battle that is not fun to watch. I also read before the game that the Revs interim coach had been really emphasizing defense first (even at home), and that is how they played. As with several of our recent opponents, they really clogged the middle and we could not consistently create enough on the flanks to force them to change tactics. Once again, even when we created on the flanks, we have no real threat in the center to get on the end of crosses. So, the Revs were content to dare us to beat them out wide. Expect to see the same tactics from opponents every week, until we find a solution. Hopefully, we are better with Arriola combining with Jara and a healthy Mora overloading on the left. However, it just shows how thin we are in the attack.
On a positive note, I was hesitant to go to the game because (as mentioned above) games at Gillette suck. However, I called the Revs ticket office and found out that there were about 70-80 tickets sold in the visitors section. I went and there was an excellent showing by SE, Barra, and DUltras. In addition, they were able to get a few drums in. I had a great time standing, chanting, and singing for 90+, like it was a home game. Loved it, even with the result! Just want to thank everyone there for making my holiday weekend.
The whole away-games-are-blacked-out-on-DirectKick is the most fan insulting move of this ******************** ownership group. And Flo would not stream through the browser on my LG TV or my PS4. The website would load, I could log in, but...FloSucks doesn't work. ******** this team and its owners.
That's odd. When I put this into Google translate, convert it into Spanish and back again it reads, "I'd like your largest bowl of Cream o' Wheat, please."
That game was a dud - I apologize for saying it would be exciting and we'd be run out of town on a rail - Probably nobody at the game felt much besides pity for either team in the end. The Rev announcers agreed with the red card call and felt, like I did, neither "handball" should have been called for a PK. I did not lose my video feed until just after the NE post-game show. At least the Sunday sports (read: 3 races) were fun to watch
When a car throws a driver, it at least has the decency to plow into a wall or something, not just continue to run around on the track with the other cars ..... I could say that Ricky Stenhouse Jr (or as I like to call him, Wrecky Spinhouse) finished pretty high up in the race, and I don't consider him a driver ..... In between the 3 races I was able to catch a decent amount of the USWNT vs Mexico - whereas there were no sports on Monday and I still manged to miss the entire first half of the US Men/Boy's U-20 game.
