I think he's a solid keeper. I don't think that either of Acosta's goals were his fault. He was hung out to dry and had to guess like on a PK. Any time an opposing player gets a free shot from inside the penalty spot I'm not going to blame the keeper. I will blame Guzan for whining though. Maybe he was trying to fit in with his coach.
Baseball-. It was some time into the 20th century I believe before it was illegal to move the fences between innings. Bob Bradley chose the wrong sport. If the quality of ball control and pass accuracy continues to improve as it has recently, perhaps the grass will get cut lower and more evenly to facilitate passing. When it looks like they had the barbers from 8th and I come by to give the field a high and tight, Barca look out.
I thought he was a pretty good GK until near the end of his Aston Villa days. Sometime around 2014, I think he ran out of steam, keeping that team in the EPL and just hasn't been the same ever since. Other's can chime in, but that was my perception of the guy's skill and decline.
My first encounter with Atlanta fans yesterday was watching a SUV park in the west travel lane of Potomac Avenue in front of the stadium to let passengers out. They took their time even after a line of cars formed behind them. Then they stood in the bike lanes for a few minutes. It was impressive how oblivious they were to everything.
On TV, I've noticed the circular wet areas around the sprinkler heads on a number of telecasts so far. In my opinion, it affects the aesthetics a bit.
We met some cool college kids who came to Charleston (back when we used to pre-season there) who were Silverback fans. During one of our not-home games, the one at The Plex, I met a nice older gentleman who was an Atlanta fan in line for beer. So, 5 of them are seemingly okay, can't vouch for any of the rest of them There were a few ATL fans scattered thru-out 129/130 Sun night. They never really had anything to gloat about so their relative quietness/politeness probably does not indicate anything. The ones who lost their daughter by sending her for a hotdog (she ended up wandering around our section looking for her people to no avail), I can't recommend too much
I have only seen Guzan make one great save. I've probably watched him play over 20 times. He is at best an average keeper and somehow won Herr Klinsmann's favor.
Maybe they were casing the place to steal tools, not unheard of in the neighborhood according to some posters
The nightmare comes to an end as the Mystics will be going to the WNBA Finals for the first time in team history.
D.C. > Atlanta. Facts only. 😉Congrats, @WashMystics! https://t.co/3oy6zcfvgl— D.C. United (@dcunited) September 5, 2018
There's a Greyhound leaving Richmond for DC every hour or so. Call up a couple of Kickers to at least fill the bench just in case
You gonna go? I think I am going to have to take a pass on the Loons game to catch the Mystics game, since I am unavailable to attend game 4. I went to game 3 of the WNBA Final last year, in LA (I happened to be staying across the street from Staples while on vacation, in the same hotel as the Lynx players, and decided to go to the game).
Well, sometimes you just have to take Belichick's balls in your hands and throw them into the secondary.
