What: DC United @ NYFCF Where: Yankee Stadium (ugh, still?) When: Sunday, March 10, 3 PM EDT (remember to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night/Sunday morning!) Why: MLS Regular season, Game 2 How to watch: FloFC, ESPN+ (if you're out of market) Time to see if DC United can carry over their play from the season opener in their first road test of the season on Yankee Stadium's bandbox of a field. Last year, a short handed DC United almost stole all 3 points on a Steve Birnbaum goal, only to see the now departed David Villa get one back late in the game for a 1-1 draw. Last week, NYCFC got off to a hot start in Orlando, jumping out to a 2-0 lead, but faltered as the game progressed and settled for a 2-2 draw. We all know how DCU did in the cold rain vs Atlanta's 3-4-3. Vamos!
Can someone with Flo (or an alternate* way of watching) volunteer to post updates in here? It is a PBP thread after all adTHANXvance It will be interesting to see how we play on their funky little pitch. I'm gonna take a wild stab at DCU - 3 City - 1 over/under on yellow cards: 3 (I'm taking the over) NYC's favorite baby animal: * feel free to share alternative watching or streaming links as well
Apparently Reddit is the place to go for online soccer streams these days, but I couldn't tell you exactly which subreddit to go to to find one.
It used to be r/soccerstreams but it got shutdown a month or so ago. Believe they moved to a discord server but not exactly sure how that works.
With the change in playoff format it would be nice if we could steal some points on the road. Tomorrow seems like a prime opportunity to do so.
DCU have been a bad road team for a long time. Yes, I know it's traditionally difficult to win on the road in MLS, but DC's last winning record on the road was in 2007, and the last time they topped 20 points was 2014. They need to do much better than their recent average of 2 road wins a season if they really want to compete for top of the East.
Officials: REF: Nima Saghafi AR1: Corey Parker AR2: Gianni Facchini 4TH: Rubiel Vazquez VAR: Silviu Petrescu AVAR: Thomas Supple
I see Tom Supple is standing by in case a porn flick breaks out at the VAR table. Can't be too prepared.
Oi oi .start of the new season and I'll be watching tonight as it's live on sky .how's Rooney been playing so far? I am visiting DC for work in a couple of months so will come to a match. I would be interested in what the match day routine is like round your way .
Your starting 11 vs. @NYCFC today at Yankee Stadium! Kick off is just moments away!LETS GO BOYS!!! 🤟🤟🤟#DCU pic.twitter.com/Yl7QKO6LUj— D.C. United (@dcunited) March 10, 2019
Looks like a blackout on DirecTV 471 in the DC area, however the Nets game could be still on YES. Thx, Jay!
Seeing a bit of chatter people can’t get Flo working, but seeing it’s working at a couple of the watch party bars.
Or maybe not... Shocker. DC United’s “Official Watch Party” for their first match on @flosports is off to a disaster.Stream not working, #DCU staffers are scrambling to fix it and dozens of fans at Lou’s in Columbia Heights are missing the first minutes.@RfkRefugees @MLSist @SoccerInsider— Jeffrey Cook (@JeffreyCook) March 10, 2019
