Ouch, Joe. Still have some road salt left over from the Snowpocalypse, eh? ;)

"Oh, look, Dennis, here's a lovely open wound!" :p

    ...

I hope this is the year VA (and DC) supporters get the critical mass to get this effort pushed over the top. Good luck, guys.

Hey nobletea (and any others in Mary's Land), my old Mercury Capri turbo finally has a new owner, so the tags DCU0002 will be going back into the hopper. I hope one of you lot get it when it becomes available...

I hate to see them go. :(

I was tempted, let me tell you. But I'd hate to lose the Namoff tags, even if he's retired, and we transferred the DCU0029 tag to our new car just last year. I think the guys at the MVA would come gunning for me if we went through that again...

Or maybe just my wife. And I fear her wrath more than the MVA's.

What number are they up to now? I hope more than 69.

If you get them now do you still get the "old" MD-style tag or the new one with the fireworks?

    Thx,

    Jay!

    Well, I've got 89 and 90....

Organizational tags in MD still have the organization logo and the numbers, as with the example Lowecifer posted above. It's only if you get regular (not the bay, organizational or agricultural) tags that you get the one with the fireworks.

Anybody know anything about DCU tags for Virginia? Filled out forms about 10 years, when we getting our first new stadium, but not much has happened since.....in either area...

Heard the plate was cancelled when PG county said Fook No to a stadium, just kidding.
It's somewhat logical that if the team keeps changing the logo and the demand is too low, the item will be that much closer to the discontinued archives.
FWIW if VA tried to put the new logo with the DC Flag representation on a Commonwealth plate, our elected delegates would get an earful so that might have some impact in MD too.
So go on line and commission one of those custom surrounds for your plate, see you on Shark Tank

    @JayRockers!

Go here and enter "Screaming" in the search box, because the DCU plates in Maryland are an SE Organizational Tag. The reason for that in up-thread, but essentially to apply you had to be a certified non-profit organization with more than 25 members.

Wish I still had my 0002 tag, but still rocking the 0026 and 0029.

Silly me searching DC and United. I had clicked on the link about ten posts above and it was dead.

But it did answer the questions I had about did the logo change.

And funny you can’t find anything on the SE website about it.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Bump. I just saw 0001 go by on H. St. Looked like the Maryland tag.
