No. I meant what I meant. It was an aberration because of the overall season stats but an abomination because it gave the FO all the excuses they needed to do nothing.
What is this rumor I hear about a cap on the number of supporters sections seats?? 2000??? How stupid can these people b..............................never mind my bad!
Once there's a new stadium, millennials who can't wait to spend tons of money at the concession stands will fill every nook and cranny because . . .well, they just will.
That's right. They'll just hand over their wallets - won't fit in their tight little pants anyway. United will magically - with limited marketing, a shit product and a bare bones stadium- suddenly become the hip thing in town. They'll alienate the already depleted supporters groups who've stuck with them through the shit years, but who cares, right? Then when competitive knitting (or some other fad) comes along and the team sucks those millennial wallets will stay home. Ownership matters. Ours is making about every mistake I can think of in what seems like a positively Trumpian effort to undermine their own product. Ugh
Isn't DC United involved in some friendly that includes 2 non-DCU teams? Despite of what you thought of these games you could at least expect FO in the past to advertise the shit out of these. I've heard practically nothing.
I don't think we are playing in one but I thought I got some ticket offer for some non DC United friendly.
El Salvador vs Honduras, and lower bowl is all GA....Good Gawd, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! I feel sorry for CSC working that. GA? WTF
I mean wouldn't that make it easier for CSC? All they have to do is worry about the field and not checking tickets/trying to move people.
For those that have trouble reading tweets on timelines. Apparently that is difficult. pic.twitter.com/Iv37CkEpjL— NonLeagueAmerica (@NonLeagueUSA) June 5, 2017 DIdn't this guy used to have an account here? Seems to me like he didn't follow the rules. Prob shouldn't have been ejected but that seems like overzealous security. Doubt that was an order phoned in by Erick. Expecting though most of you will take a big dump on the FO.
On the contrary, if someone wanted to hang, say, a Colorado Rapids flag in RFK during a DC vs. LA game I'd say GTFO. Not sure why anyone would think hanging the flag of next week's opponent would be acceptable.
The guard, a lady who is usually down on the field in front of 139, respectfully told those two that they could not post their banner on the rail next to 139. They didn't listen and kept trying to attach it. She called for backup and they were escorted out. It was that simple, they struck me as a couple of immature brats.
and yes all does have to get approved now. Hence why tifo is a pain in the ass now. 2nd, screw other clubs and signage! (even though it was funny watching them put up a pillowcase on the 2nd deck of a sign that 99% of the folks in the crowd had no idea who that is.)
I was on the same flight as Ryan Nelsen from London Heathrow to Washington Dulles yesterday. He appeared to be traveling with another person who Ive seen around the team before, but whom I couldnt place (I haven't kept up with United front office the last couple of years). Made me wonder if he was coming for a team related reason.
