That's definitely where they're going to go. I'd say that's a shame, no one will see them, but I'd bet the viewership is pretty dammed large given how focused the big European teams are on Asia with Real/Barca putting the names on the back of the jersey in Chinese and ManU coming out with a whole Chinese New Year collection of gear. In truth, those guys going to those lesser leagues is probably good for the USMNT because I can't see any of those leagues being better than MLS, in spite of all the money they spend.
I don't have cable. I have a season ticket and ESPN+ so I can watch United away games a day late. If a national game is on ESPN/2, I can watch it later when it goes up on ESPN3/+. I can't watch FS1 games or UniMas games (channel 47 is extremely low-powered and I can't get it in downtown Silver Spring even though it broadcasts from nearby Tenleytown.) I've got plenty of DCU games that I can watch without the huge cable bill. I only miss the handful out of the year that are away games that are on FS1 or UniMas.
Dunno about the EPL (I fail to understand what anyone watches that ) but non-EU players need to qualify for a work permit from the British government (just like foreign players need a US work visa here). EU players playing in Europe can play in any EU country (and EU leagues cannot have rules that limit the numbers of 'foreign' EU players on a team). Brexit is probably gonna make it harder for EU players to play in the UK and also UK players to play on the continent (if it happens of course ).
Because the EPL and Champions League are the two biggest English-language leagues broadcast to the USA. Especially pre-internet. Thx, Jay!
Remember when these came out and lotsa people wanted them ... Well it seems that if you're a NJRB STM, you have the opportunity to buy the NJRB version of them. So. Clean. 😍 Check out the custom #DCU UltraBoosts our @adidassoccer players will be rocking through playoffs. 👌 #VAMO5 | #HereToCreate pic.twitter.com/05DEOuoaJ0— D.C. Swap the black and red around then add a DCU crest or something like those kicks the players were wearing for the playoffs and its a take my money proposition.
I agree, but only because I'm in my 50's. If I were a few decades younger I'd likely think they're totally rad.
Red Bull shoes...man, you could walk through the bloodbath that is MPF and your kicks would still look as fresh as they started.
Hey everyone. I'm doing a comparison of season ticket prices league wide, and I'm having trouble finding prices for 2019 DCU prices. Does anyone have an email from the FO or know of a site that has this info? The official DC site is useless, and all I could find was initial 2018 AF pricing. Reading through this thread, it seems like prices went up roughly 15-20%. If I can't find any accurate prices for this year, I'll just apply that increase to the 2018 numbers, though current prices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
FWIW, I sit in Section 126 on the west side. In 2018, my tickets were $40/game, in 2019 they are $43. Hope this helps.
I just realized there's a Groupon deal for the Tuesday match. $19.50 https://www.groupon.com/deals/gl-d-c-united-2019-1
Indeed. No listing for season ticket prices this year...and no listing for individual ticket prices, since they are changed daily if not hourly by the team in truly dynamic pricing. Incidentally, I got an email today that there is a 24 hour sale for $14 tickets to Tuesday's game.
I understand different tiered pricing, germany and spain do that for the big teams, not sure about other countries. But prices that change constantly, and no public prices for season tix seems shady as fvck. Appreciate all the info so far guys, keep it coming!!
