yup - And young Cerritos scored the only goal for El Salvador - https://www.dcunited.com/post/2017/...jamaica?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=Facebook
USA U17 team beat El Salvador 1-0 today. Their next games in the 2nd stage are against Honduras on May 3rd, and against Cuba on May 5th.
USA U17 is playing Honduras now on Univision Deportes 25: Poor concentration by Honduras on corner kick allows Sargent another goal this tourney.
US beat Honduras 3-0 today. Unless Cuba beats the US by 9 goals, the US U17 team advances to the World Cup in India during October this fall.
USA has beaten Cuba handily and will face the winner of the Mexico/CostaRica on Sunday for the Final of the U17 CONCACAF Tournament. All four teams have advanced to the World Cup
Its USA vs Mexico at 3 pm on Sunday. All previous games were held in the smaller Estadio Maracaná. The artificial turf field didn't seem to bother the USA team and may have given them a slight advantage here and there. The final will be played in the larger Estadio Rommel Fernández, which is also used for Track & Field. Is this a grass field or turf?

DCU Academy missed the U16 and U18 playoffs. SJ and Portland were the other MLS teams to miss out at both age groups.
It is somewhat laughable that a system they claim is designed to value daily training over competition even has playoffs
This may not be the right thread, but I hate to start a new one as we have a bunch of dead threads around here. With the news of NASL getting decertified DC United is at a rare cross roads that it will likely never get to again. I'm sure the price for an NASL team couldn't be cheaper right now. Levien and Tohir have an opportunity to lock up some serious youth talent and brand territory by purchasing Carolina FC. I don't know if the team is for sale -- but what isn't? To go in and purchase that squad in order to make it DCU's affiliate would be a fantastic idea on two key fronts. First, DCU could prevent the Raleigh/Durham area from getting an MLS squad and use the 2nd division squad to perpetuate the DCU brand. Second, there are tons of great youth players developing all around there that could be gobbled up by a DCU youth academy affiliate. I know our owners are not keen to spend any $ given the stadium and need for additional players to make a splash next year. However, that area has eyes for MLS and it's rapidly growing. A strong presence from RDU to Maryland could create a strong territory for DC United if done right. I hope I'm somehow wrong and Levien/Tohir are playing the long game. If they are, the time might be right. Richmond doesn't seem interested in selling and wouldn't offer DCU anything they don't already have.
Too late to edit my comment, but I failed to mention that I would also move the team to the USL upon buying.
NCFC is owned by Steve Malik, who is on the Fed board. He's trying to get an MLS expansion slot. There is no chance he will sell the team.
Guys, @travismclark just txted me and this is not a joke: Barron Trump is playing at RFK tomorrow. No, really. Seriously. Not kidding. #DCU pic.twitter.com/RpFBf9INRs— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) September 22, 2017
Im sure when he tries to make his way in the world his father will give him a small $4 million dollar loan.
Respectfully, you did say "poor kid". Not really. He's a child of wealth and privilege. But all children do deserve to have their privacy respected. All children also deserve to have health care. And on and on. I hope the young Baron does better than his brothers. asitis
From Merriam-Webster dictionary: Definition of poor 1 a :lacking material possessions b :of, relating to, or characterized by poverty 2 a :less than adequate :meager b :small in worth 3 :exciting pity you poor thing
If a bunch of folks give him a bunch of shit during a youth soccer match, for who his father is, in this instance, yes I would.
I would feel badly for the young man. I would pity the people who gave him shit. Do you know any groups or individuals who plan to do that? asitis
Only what I've seen on the twitterz. AFAICT, I don't think there is anything organized, but the simple fact that this is out there for everyone/anyone to see, could give some dumb-shits ideas. I don't care for his father at all, but I've always been of the opinion that children of politicians/athletes/celebrities/public figures (especially young children) should be off-limits, as far as catching shit for what their parents do.
