http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/the91stminute/2017/03/nine-mls-clubs-told-grant-wahl-how-much-they-spend-on-their-academies/ Pulled from each individual questionnaire, here’s the ranked list of the nine who submitted figures on how much they spent in 2016 on their respective academy setups. New England Revolution: $1 million D.C. United: $1.5 million Montreal Impact: $1.5 million Chicago Fire: $1.75 million Columbus Crew: $2.5 million FC Dallas: $3 million Portland Timbers: $3 million LA Galaxy: $4 million Philadelphia Union: $4 million
Are those apples to apples comparisons or ballpark? Don't the Union have a school? The league has been changing rules in part because of the guys Dallas is losing out on.
um yes... http://www.philly.com/philly/sports..._developing_future_American_soccer_stars.html The Union and YSC owner Richie Graham, a part-owner of the team, have spent millions of dollars on the facility in an effort to develop the next generation of U.S. national team stars. Launched in 2013, the school has 73 students from grades 8 through 12, and not just from the Philadelphia region. Many students come from other cities, and a few even come from other countries. They train twice a day and go to class for the rest of the time, and the out-of-towners live in residency.

MLS just posted this article: http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/03/30/parchman-every-mls-clubs-top-academy-prospect Says our top prospect is Chandler Vaughan, fullback.
Eryk Williamson reportedly at practice with DCU after returning from U-20 camp in England. Would love to sign him... but probably best to not read too much into it.
I saw where DCU beat some Mexican team 2-1 on twitter well, they probably beat them on a soccer field, but I read about it on twitter
https://www.socceramerica.com/artic...-u-17-world-cup-qualifying.html?edition=17094 Coach John Hackworth has named the USA's 20-player roster for the 2017 Concacaf U-17 Championship April 21-May 7 in Panama that will determine the region's four qualifiers for the 2017 U-17 World Cup in India Oct. 6-28. The U.S. squad includes four players who signed MLS Homegrown player contracts in 2016: midfielders Chris Durkin (D.C. United) and Chris Goslin (Atlanta United FC), and forwards Andrew Carleton (Atlanta United F.C.) and Bryan Reynolds (FC Dallas).
Besides Durkin on the US U17 team, DC United Academy also two on the El Salvador team. http://www.dcunited.com/post/2017/0...l-salvadors-u-17-roster-concacaf-championship
Durkin scores opening goal in US 5-0 win over Jamaica - http://www.soccerwire.com/news/nt/i...maica-5-0-to-open-concacaf-u-17-championship/
https://www.dcunited.com/post/2017/...p-match?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=Facebook And USA plays Mexico at 6:30. They're clearly the two better teams in the group, and both should advance to the next stage.

They play El Salvador next, which I think means 3 DCU academy players may be on the field, is that correct?
