that might be it. the kilt does tend to let anything that hits my lower legs go straight into my boots.
though neither pair i've owned have ever been waterproof unless i rubbed them with a waterproofing agent.

i'm only 2 sizes behind you and they aren't that bad. stop being a pansy :p

Just for clarification, the majority of the security was from Philly. I didn't have any issues with the one's from DC that I ran into.

When all was said and done. THIS was my favorite part of the day!! (the march out was cool too...horns blaring at us!!) I kept thinking to myself...Phillies and Eagles fans just dont do this shit!! The SoB have ruined everything for me. I can never again just attend a sporting event!! I must be a part of the event itself!!! :D

I haven't read or heard such inspirational words since Bluto fired up the Deltas! I think he would have been a fine SoB.

    I'm always off key hahaa

since you're being nice, I will too. I was one of the people screaming down onto you like all hell. my main question was ultras? there's nothing ultra about you. the loudest we heard you guys was when one of your group went to go flag down the beer guy  and was that a casual I saw in your ranks? I was screaming for the punk. I'm not sure he knows what it means when you wear casual gear. he probably saw out of a euro magazine that, that's how football supporters dress nowadays

I don't know if this was brought up already, but did anyone else notice/get pissed at the face that most people left those free hats on during the anthem? What? Is it because they are from 'The District' they are better Americans and have a right to disrepect the Anthem?

    my hat is still soaked

how are they not water proof? are they just old? usually if they're old (like my black ones) water will seep in through the cracks. but over all my feet stayed dry as well

yea I wear 13s, I tripped going up the steps yesterday to get some water haha. felt kind of like an asshole. still, I feel naked without them.

AH OK! so you're the guy with the kilt. awesome, now I got a face down.

Re: SOB I dc made me proud

to be honest, I didn't really care all that much. I always remove my hat, as my father was a drill instructor, and that move is ingrained in me. but I don't take serious offence when people don't do it.

Ugh, you were better off not knowing what he look's like. I've spent a couple of years trying to get his ugly mug out of brain.

A great trip. The intensity of our march in was unbefugginleavable. It was freaky to feel the upper deck bounce. Had the Onions managed to stick one in the bag, myself and several friends were going to sprint around the entire upper deck with the checkered flags. I wish our boys had given a quarter of the effort we gave. If they had, it would have been 15-0 in the Union's favor...

Just remember, I don't care what stadium you are in, even that shithole in DC, if you are smoking in the seating areas, you get ejected. Is there anyone who doesn't know that?

Anyone and everyone has the right to disrespect the Anthem, no matter what kind of American you are.

The water fountains didn't even work. It was like they normally don't even bother to sell seats up there but made an exception for us.

Oh, but what fun would that have been? The Lancaster contingent could create quite the photo gallery of injuries--I have some impressive bruises from falling down the steps

the steel in the toes adds to the weight too ;)

mine are Rockys. comfortable as heck, but they're like Jimmy Hoffa specials.

one dude asked me "you want to run around the upper deck with these flags?", and I thought to myself, out of all of the people around, you looked at me and thought he's the guy built for speed?

i was feeling really drained for a little bit, but once I got my wind back, we took off and made it to about the 50-yard line before security put the kibosh on our journey.

Re: SoB in DC made me proud

    No shot of that.

Me and this other guy did it during the rain squall, security finally got to us halfway around the bowl.

They were very nice about it, but said don't do it again. We almost crushed the sunglasses of the one camera guy.

Once the second half started, they made sure every time we creeped close to the edge of our section that we not even think about running again.

There also seemed to be more security up there for the second half, whether that was a result of our journey near the end of the first half I'm not sure.

We weren't hurting anybody or looking for trouble, just flying the flag that's all.

That's exactly what they do. United doesn't sell the upper deck unless the lower bowl approaches a sellout, or when traveling fans come they go to that section.
