Not so sure about that. It was from a distance where neither your training nor your instinct take command, and that is the tricky part. If it was from a closer point, probably on pure reaction, but the trajectory was tricky too, so I think only a few keepers in the world could have made the save, but true, Ospina is not one of them.

I am just happy he is getting a lot more playing time than I expected these last few weeks.

I mean some of his shit play can come down to not playing for so long.

Also he has played some great Teams. Atletico Madrid and Man united cant be easy teams to go against when you haven’t played in months.

agreed - if the mistakes he is making now are due to lack of playing time, good thing he is getting them out of his system now instead of June/July.

Plus he is playing in an atmosphere where there a lot of commotion and drama going on. Playing in the World Cup will be a breeze emotionally compared to playing for Arsenal with all the media/fans scrutiny that team has dealt with this year.

Just happy that he is playing right now.

It is difficult to not play for so long and then jump in, and most of his mistakes seem to be down to lack of sharpness overall, best thing is for him to be playing right now and work out the kinks. This is why playing consistently matters, you can work out the mistakes, reactions/Instincts/confidence is always going to be better in players playing, him making mistakes isn't criminal but for the national team him staying in a situation as a backup is.

Another injury for Ospina before the game. Kind of fishy how these Arsenal goalies get injured out of nowhere.

His injury? Is that just an excuse to not play him? Because really seems like he gets injured every game or every other game he plays for Arsenal.

Rumor he might be out for Atletico.

Even if Ospina starts the rest of the season he needs to get the fk out. Even if we win the WC. Arsenal won’t start him they will just bring another big name GK who isn’t as good but really tall to bench him

I dont disagree but if there's a time where he needs the minutes it's now...so I'm happy to see him start in a pivotal match.

Yes I read that he went down early.
At least he played the 90 minutes.

Hope he can finish the season off with some appearances.

Honestly knowing Costa I am not surprised that he was trying to react quickly. Shame it worked against him.

LOL Ospina, he goes down like he's dead at least twice a game. I thought he was done and about to get stretchered off twice and he pops up 2 minutes later.
