Poliana seems more adventurous than your average Brazilian, suspect she could survive in Houston without a Brazilian comarade. I think that is less the case for Andressa though.
On the lines of that language/social/culture thing, has the Houston organization done anything to associate the Brazilian girls with the Brazilian boys (Alex with the Dynamo and/or Ivan Magalhães with RGV)?
Don't know, don't think we've seen anything overt in Houston in any event. Can't recall any promotion of any association, in any event.
Well, I wasn't expecting "promotion" or events or anything like that; I was more thinking of news articles I've seen from other cities where NWSL players roomed with MLS rookies or lower-division men's players for socialization and/or cost-cutting - those sorts of things.
They could get Romero back and trade Poliana to get some decent CB. I feel like they need a big move to improve that center defense anyway. Is it certain that Daly comes back?
Trades of international players are so rare that I can't even think of one that has happened off the top of my head. A good domestic CB is far more valuable than an international outside back who might well be gone tomorrow and likely costs a lot more in the interim. Dash have option on Daly, better believe they would exercise it.
So happy Ohai finally got a well-deserved call-up. I hope she impresses JE enough to establish a recurring role.
Well, here's something:Camille came to Houston from Brazil for brain cancer treatment and got to meet a few countrymates. 🇧🇷 https://t.co/eou7E129Jo https://t.co/QXAB8sgLqP— Houston Dynamo FC (@HoustonDynamo) October 7, 2016 The Tweet mentioned "countrymates" - plural - with Alex hosting the video and Andressa appearing with their guest. No direct link between the two, but it's a bit of something, and I would hope there was a bit more behind the scenes we didn't see; I find it hard to believe you bring a little Brazilian girl to Houston without having some fun social time with all the organization's Brazilians interacting and such.
BREAKING: Andressa will sign new contract with Dash on her Facebook live at 7 pm (CT) today. Dash will share feed on their FB and Twitter.— Corey Roepken (@RipSports) November 24, 2016
