between Leno and Trapp, I would take Trapp.

Trapp doesn't make blunders like Leno does.

To be honest neither are top drawer like nuer or de stagen, who are the alternatives after nuer and de stagen

I'm not high on either and neither is world class but Low is fixated on both of them for 3rd GK and if I had to choose I would go for Trapp over Leno.

my only issue with Trapp was that he was a bench GK before his Frankfurt move. Although him at Frankfurt is only a loan, so who knows what he does come Summer time.

it's nowhere near as bad as Leno\s numerous blunders whether club or NT.

Frankfurt's Fredi Bobic pushing that da Costa should get NT call up.

Possibly, if kimmich is gonna continue to play right back at bayernthen there's no logic playing him cm for national side and I can't see da costa dislodging kimmich at right wing back?

even if Kimmich is 1st choice at RB/RWB, we still need a back up. Kehrer/Ginter aren't the answers and mostly play cbs at their clubs.

it's why Low mentioned Klostermann and why people bring up da Costa and even Weiser. Imagine Kimmich gets injured and misses the Euros who's the replacement/back up? That is always the danger of only having 1 main player for one position.

for LB, Low likes Hector (should be in 1BL next season) and Schulz. He also confirmed towards the end of the year that Halstenberg will get another chance he played well vs England in the friendly but injury for too long made his be left out. So that's 3 LB options.

Mittelstadt and Henrichs (can also play RB) are 2 younger LB options for the future. And there is also Max for older players too.

I really like Schulz, completely nullified sterling against city, which isn't easy to do, left wing back birth looks to be his to lose

yeah he was good vs City, I think Hector shouldn't picked anymore. Would rather we focus on Schulz, Halstenberg, Max and even the 2 youngsters. If Itter, Vagnoman, Katterbach, Netz etc.can breakthrough in the years to come, we'll be stacked in LB options.

Hector doesn't even always play LB, he's between LB-DM. While the youngster 97-Horn mostly plays LB/Wingback.

Things are not as bleak as we all seem to suggest, there's alot of talent that needs nurturing, and it's certainly not as bad as the period of the turn of the millennium

even strikers there are a lot of promising ones but chances/patience and time is needed. Maybe in 2-4 years we'll have even more options.

I do think RB looks somewhat iffy and then GK post Neuer. Sure there is ter Stegen but the others are at best good GK, nothing world class. And the promising young GK prospects seem years and years away from breakingthrough as that's one position where even guys in their mid-30s still play. And there aren't a lot of rotations and teams don't sub in GK unless injuries.

Germany seems to struggle vs countries like Serbia/Croatia although it's a good test for the players.

Löw said Neuer will stay captain and goaly until end of EC'20 no matter what. It's a slap in the face of MatS, even worse than Köpke/Kahn or Kahn/Lehmann.

Why do veterans need a comfort zone to begin with? This thinking is nonsense and has ruined dozens of great players and teams.

But you also have to explain to our foreign die Mannschaft fans why that is the case. Why does Löw have to field Neuer?

Reason being: He plays for Bayern. If the guy loses the NT starting position then he will lose market value and Bayern will lose prestige("the NT keeper has to play for Bayern). If Neuer gets sent to the bench then Bayern will use their media friends(Bild) to put even more pressure on Löw (who already is on probation) without even having played a single qualifier. Everyone who witnessed the shit storms weeks leading up to 2006 know about this. Especially Löw.

Four players I think Loew should consider:

CB: Torunarigha (maybe take Tah out)

    RB: Danny Da Costa

    DM: Rani Khedira

    CM: Kerem Demirbay

Based on performance n potential , I think this should be our 23-men squad

    GK) Ter Stegen, Schwolow, Neuer

    RB) Da Costa, Kimmich
CB) Ginter, Sule, Rudiger, Kehrer, Torunarigha
    LB) Nico Schulz, Max

CM) Kroos, Goretzka, Demirbay, Emre Can, Rani Khedira

Forwards) Leroy Sane, Gnabry, Timo Werner, Reus, Havertz, Ginczek
