Called into the Ireland squad for the Estonia match.

I'm happy for Randolph for the call, even though I doubt he'll play. I do think we've made a mistake though, by failing to at least call him in and take a look at him. Hamid and Johnson are talented but young, Guzan has fallen off the radar and I think Darren deserves a shot as much as anyone in MLS.

If he's the only DN we lose this year, I'm OK with that.

    Still rectifiable ... barely.

I don't want to get a NT discussion going in this thread but thought it worth mentioning that Randolph was not named on the Ireland Euro 2012 roster. So unless there are injuries to the 'keepers ahead of him, it could be a while before he is cap-tied.

Given that this thread is eight years old, would it be safe to say that Randolph is no longer a new YA?

Sweet. Now we could try something crazy & invite him to camp.

Well, I know I don't have the heart to change the title of a thread that's been active for so long. It'd be like changing "Yank Kid at Torino?" to "That guy we all used to follow."

Motherwell finished in 3rd behind Celtic & Rangers, so Randolph will compete in Europa League next season.

Randolph started 37 of 38 league games, with 15 clean sheets.

No, they will compete in Champions League qualifying. They take Rangers place who are suspended from European play

Doubt he considers himself american at all, but he should be our #3 keeper right now.

Caleb Patterson Sewell is Vitoria Setubal's new #1. If he gets a off to a strong start, it wouldn't surprise me if he made a good case.

It would be pretty funny if he ended up playing for USA and Ryan Meara ended up playing for Ireland.

Randolph came on as a 2nd half substitute for Ireland in a friendly against Oman at Craven Cottage tonight.
