GK Danny Rogers, listed as #50 on Aberdeen FC's first-team roster for the 2011/12 season, was born in the States. Also, his dad's American (and his mum's apparently Irish). The club lists Danny as a Scot. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/danny-rogers-aberdeen_2212045_60394 http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20110811/aberdeen-u19s_2212158_2417124
Transfermarkt has him as a '94: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/danny-rogers/profil/spieler_200956.html
He's not on their list of squad numbers for this season, so he may be moving on. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20120803/aberdeen-fc-squad-numbers-_2212158_2870296

Quick update - Rogers signed a new 1 year contract in December (I assume that means through the 2014-15 season). He also had a month long loan to Scottish League 1 (3rd division) side Airdre where he got 6 starts. He is back with Aberdeen now and was on the bench for their last league game.
On loan at Dumbarton in the second tier and starting for them. Dumbarton have given up 11 goals in their first three games, which doesn't reflect well on him but you never know how bad their defense is.
He's started 26 of 28 league matches now. Dumbarton are 7th of 10. They've conceded 63 goals, though, which isn't as bad as Cowdenbeath but is 16 goals worse than the 8th best team.
Snip: Aberdeen goalkeeper Danny Rogers hopes returning to the Scottish Championship on a season-long loan with Falkirk will boost his international chances. The United States-born 21-year-old was with Dumbarton last season. "I am excited about the year ahead as I have forced my way into the Republic of Ireland U21s starting XI," he said. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33303203 FFC will be in Scotland's second division this coming season. Last year (from the official announcement): During his time with the Sons Daniel proved to be a popular figure amongst fans as he finished the season with several Player and Young Player of the Year awards. http://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/goalkeeper-signs-on-for-new-season/

Rogers' loan stint at Falkirk has ended, and Falkirk wants to bring him back -- Rogers will apparently decide within the next day: http://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/spor...s-and-falkirk-s-goalkeeping-options-1-4162450 Aberdeen will loan him out again, whether to Falkirk or elsewhere: https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/f...953468/aberdeen-send-another-goalkeeper-loan/ Hibernian has shown interest in Rogers: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36604094 Leeds United speculated as another loan option for Rogers: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/06/1...r-former-target-danny-rogers-as-aberdeen-bos/
Aberdeen has sent out two goalkeepers on loan, Aaron Lennox to Raith Rovers (Scottish Championship) and Robbie Mutch to Arbroath FC (Scottish League Two), but not Rogers. Though I can't find an official report, it appears increasingly likely that Aberdeen will carry Rogers on their first-team roster this season. Rogers will likely back up Neil Alexander, a new signee who was Hearts' starting goalkeeper the past two seasons.
Well, I was wrong. Rogers has been loaned to Falkirk again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36749504 Impressively, he was in the Scottish Championship XI of the Year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PFA_Scotland_Team_of_the_Year#Championship_3 Seems likely to stay with Ireland, but he would certainly be a welcome addition to the US if he ever decides to play for the land of his birth and father.
Danny Rogers has returned from his loan spell at Falkirk, and is back with Aberdeen He was on the bench for Aberdeen's Europa League match on Thursday

Danny Rogers made his season debut for Aberdeen in Scotland's Premier League as their #1 keeper went down injured during a goalmouth scramble that saw the keeper hurt and a PK awarded to Rangers..,Unfortunately Danny's first play for Aberdeen was to face a PK by Rangers at Ibrox (are you kidding me). The game ended 2 - 0 in favor of Rangers, but Danny got on the field after polishing wood all season.
He gets the start in goal at home against Kilmarnock. This is his first career SPL start. @bungadiri He is eligible for graduation.
Aberdeen won 3-1 The Killie goal (0:11) took a deflection off a guy standing in front of him. Diving save low to his right at (0:34). He clears the rebound away from traffic. Bobbles a free kick (1:22) though Killie swat the loss ball right into him and out for a corner. Pushes a shot over the ball at 1:47 (save below).
