They were unlucky not to get a penalty in the first few minutes last night. Unfortunately he ended up a dud. They signed him specifically for Libertadores and he was injured for all of it.
Maybe the "Level of the Argentine League" (or of the Argentine Primera División) is lower or not as difficult as the Serie A and/or of what AS Roma's aspirations are? Just a thought....

As much as it pains me to agree with you , I have to agree. I think everyone knows my feeling on the subject, but DDR is gone, it's over. If he plays well or poorly in Argentina that in no way proves how he would have done another year at Roma. For me I'm more interested in how the current 'Son of Roma' performs after he's back from injury. He was well on his way to a breakout season before the injury and I'm hoping he picks up where he left off.
DDR is more defensive and Nicolò Zaniolo is a lot younger and an attacking mid. I don't think Daniele will have done much staying on another year unless there were a lot of injuries and suspensions. He may have been able to resolve a few games and that in the end may have helped with points in the standings. On the other hand, he could also be a burden staying around too long. As sad as it is to see the veterans go, sooner or later his departure was inevitable. Largo ai giovani!
