    David Wagner vs. Danny Williams.

    wow.

Can't say enough about the job Wagner has done. Reading will have a handful

Fulham always chokes. I was surprised this time made it to the playoffs without choking, but getting to the final was too much. They'll never get out of the Ch'ship.

well, all in for Reading to get promoted so Danny Williams is in the P-Ship. He could very well become JJ's replacement.

Side-foots his penalty into the goal down the center. Huddersfield guy misses right after.

    Shootout still going on.

EDIT: Reading missed their last 2 shots, and lose.

Crushing loss. Fair or not, that game might've been the difference between him being on the plane to Russia or not.

Heartbreaking loss for Reading. I still have a soft spot for them.

But Danny Williams' contract expires this year according to Transfermarkt. So he could still be in the Premier League next season.

Who knows after that kind of performance maybe Huddersfield, the newly rich, put in a bid for him.

Get Reading: "The driving force in midfield. As energetic as always - Reading’s stand out player as others struggled to really make a mark. Looked devastated at the end. 8"

The Sun: "Stand-out Reading performer, canny penalty. Out of contract now. 7"

Williams' WhoScored rating of 8.81 was the highest of any player on either side today.

Him and Aaron Mooy had quite the battle in midfield today. I'd be surprised if Danny doesn't end up at a lower-half Premier League team, he's quality. Hell... maybe even Huddersfield will go after him.

On a free I'd actually be shocked if he didn't get a couple EPL offers.

At the least he's worth taking a flier on as a squad rotation option. I'm of the opinion he could challenge for a first XI spot for a few EPL clubs. His work rate and physicality fits that league.

MOTM for reading. The box score tells the entire story.

More possession, kept Hudd scoreless (only stat from DM I count.) Scored Pen. Won virtually ever 50/50 challenge, negated transition from Hudd. But Reading had only one shot on goal for 120 min. With 4 men pressing deep into Hudd final 3rd, Williams keyed the entire game plan.well, well done by him.

Danny is a god damn warrior with both savvy and technique.

Would add value to quite a few EPL teams.

Danny Williams speaks out after Reading FC's play-off final defeat
Reading FC midfielder Danny Williams has admitted losing in the play-off final is "one of the worst feelings you can imagine."

The America international produced a man-of-the-match display in the game on Monday at Wembley , which saw Royals lose 4-3 to Huddersfield Town in a penalty shoot-out.

Williams was in floods of tears at full time and he says he is gutted and devastated for the team after coming so close to a place in the Premier League.

In an Instagram post, Williams said: "So sorry that we couldn't bring home this trophy.

"It still hurts!!! Absolutely gutted and devastated for the team, myself the fans and everybody else at the club about yesterday's outcome. When you come this far and reach the play off final you want to win it no matter what.

    Danny Williams post match
"We left everything out there for 120 minutes and to get beaten by penalties is one of the worst feelings you can imagine.

"More than proud of the team"
"However, I am more than proud of this team for working their socks off the whole year, for always bouncing back from negative moments, for always sticking together and for always showing character.

"I know how much work they have put in aswell. We will take the positives from the season and learn from this defeat. It's also about how you bounce back!!!"
