For me there are 3 Galaxy legends: Cobi, Cien, Landon. That's my personal list, but many would not quibble with putting Keane (or others) on there. Fun fact heading into this season: since his retirement from MLS in 2014, the LA Galaxy have not won a playoff match without Landon Donovan. The team's last win in an MLS playoff match was in 2016 -- when Donovan un-retired to play in 3 post-season matches, winning 2 before exiting in the conference semis.
It’s a good list and Keane is definitely in there for me. Hartman is a day one as well. Ten years (would have been longer if it weren’t for Yallop), first trophies, instrumental in kick-starting a supporters’ group.
I just gotta say: the galaxy FO is making me puke with all this kissing Beckham's butt right now. That is all.
All else aside, these nachos look pretty good https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2019/...a-galaxy-launch-nacho-match-ahead-home-opener
More Galaxy attention. Most excellent! https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/mar/04/david-beckham-statue-la-galaxy-mls-soccer
We did not get the memo on the "fan friendly" pricing trend that is going on around the league. Also, the new "double decker bar" that they are putting on the east side is literally a hole in the ground. I can't imagine that being completed for months and months.
Yeah, I was surprised the bar wasn't as close to finished as I thought it would be. I think they focused all their effort on the Legends Plaza cause that was done very fast seeing how it looked just a week prior. Also, not only are concession prices high but, they're giving away out-dated souvenir cups...
$37.50 for two hot dogs and two souvenir cups? I went to Disneyland the other day for the first time in 15 or so years fully expecting outrageous pricing. This is actually worse which is pretty ballsy. Soda $3.99/$4.19 vs $6.00 (-$2.00/$1.81) (regular and large prices at Disney) Beer $9.70 vs $13.50 (-$3.80) Dasani Water $3.99 vs $5.00 (-$1.01) Cheese Pizza $7.99 vs $11.50 (-$3.51) Pepperoni Pizza $8.49 vs $11.50 (-$3.01) Hot dogs were more expensive $7.49 vs $5.50, but came with a bag of chips. I don’t know what chips are at Diggity, but $2.00 seems likely and possibly cheap. … and I’ll say this, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food offerings at Disney. I haven’t tried the Levy food offerings at a Galaxy game in a long time so maybe it’s improved (the food trucks and Father’s BBQ are awesome), but it used to be pretty dire.
Wow. I understand price inflation for stadium food but those prices are ridiculous. Buying food and drink should be a fun part of the game day experience, but it's not at those rip-off prices. After paying for tickets and parking a family of four has to shell out an additional $40-$80 for hot dogs or pizza and sodas? That's a strain for middle income families and probably out of reach for most lower income families. I would expect this price gouging would depress attendance in the long run and end up being self-defeating.
Breaking 🚨: Prices are dropping on 5 food items starting this weekend! 🤤We are continuously innovating to provide the best experience for our fans. Wow. But everything in LA seems like it's getting expensive these days which may be both a cause and effect of the diminishing middle class here.
It's sad when you're from the Bay Area and you look at those prices and think - yup, standard sports pricing. Sad.

Is there any hope that after 1 or 2 of these incidents this year DTK figures out what a pervasive issue this is and clamps down on it? I find it really offensive that people are getting paid to produce work like this. It makes us look like clowns
Why don't you call it to his attention? He probably has been so involved in sorting out the roster mess that unless someone says something to bring it to his attention, it likely will go unnoticed.
I'm pretty sure the marketing and operations people aren't under DTK. This is a Klein issue, as we would expect.
