Pet peeves of mine as well, which makes the rambling, grammatically incorrect posts I make here a true embarrassment to revisit when I see them quoted back to me. As I said elsewhere, designers are notorious for bad grammar and spelling. I think it has something to do with the way our brains get trained to work, iterating through dozens of approaches in a nudge and shift approach; visually it’s very easy to see the horizontal rule is 1 pixel off, but that same approach fails horribly when it comes to writing. Thank goodness for copy editors, proof readers, quality assurance teams and all the other people who exist in a professional environment to catch and minimize those errors ever reaching the public.
Credit where credit is due, They knocked this out of the park! https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/12/11/happy-holidays-la-galaxy?autoplay=true
Hat tip to the marketing department for ruining their own jersey revel event by scheduling it after the outdoor campaign start date. I guess substituting a marketing calendar for a Twitter DM has its downsides.
Watch out, super cool head of marketing wizardry Chris whatever his name is will soon point out that your opinion is invalid because he "didn't know anyone posted on bigsoccer anymore..." He likes to say that every 3-4 months or so...
Anyone else think we're going to be totally outclassed by LAFC in the marketing department this year? I know winning is the most important cure for our problems but LAFC seems to be putting serious money into their efforts. I strongly suspect they are paying some of their "organic" supporters. They seem to have a twitter troll army on par with the KGB and I think they paid for like 10 fans to fly out to the superdraft today. Whether that stuff is real or not it creates a meaningful impression our twitter posts of our players wearing cartoon birthday hats can't match.
They don't need to fly fans out to special events. They just need to know what it means when a red squiggly line appears under the word they just typed.
So I won't be going to the STM event today, gotta work. Not long after I got here though, look what went by
It only took a couple of posts for Shelbo and Hav77 to outshine our entire PR department. I say hire them now!
It was exciting to see the Galaxy greats, and how excited they seemed to be there. I mean what I saw online, because I wasn't there either.
Not a fan of the tag line. But the video department has been doing an excellent job for the past few years.
