Who: D.C. United v. Orlando City SC What: MLS match 28 When: Saturday, September 9, 7 PM Where: RFK Stadium (3 Matches Left) Why: Keep that momentum Orlando are in complete free fall with 6 losses and 2 draws in their last 8; we've won 3 straight. Someone else pointed out Orlando have more arrests than wins since June 1. A win will take us OUT of last place and over Orlando due to 1 more win. I'm hoping for a good 'ol 4-0. Hamid Franklin Robinson Opare NDL Canouse Harkes Acosta Arriola Brown Steiber Clark, Franklin, Korb, Marcelo, Sam, Mullins, Miranda If Birnbaum/Kemp are healthy they would go in
IIRC, Stieber played in Hungary's first match, and didn't play in their second match. Hopefully, he's none the worse for wear when he returns.
Own Goal may decide to take some pity on Orlando in view of they won't be flying back home for a couple of days. If Irma leaves them a home to return to that is. All flights to pretty much everywhere in Fl from Orlando south on both coasts are cancelled Saturday. I think if Orlando gets their heads in the game with all this crap about to land on their doorstep they should at least get a bonus draft pick
Probably as hung over as everyone else in Bolivia after putting an ass-whipping on Chi-Chi-Chi Chile. Thank God my bookie dropped his phone in the toilet or I'd be living with the groundhogs at Audi Stadium-ette.
From what I've read and heard, because of the unjury, he never made the trip I'm order to begin recap asap. I could be mistaken though but in the two matches and the media coverage of the national team in between, his name was never once mentioned nor was he pictured in the training sessions.
Shame he missed the big day, it's up to him now to work his way onto the team here, his national team, and into the hearts and minds of the Bolivian Press.
Can we get a sticky on this thread and no sticky on past game threads? Or is it too much to ask @morrissey to do his job?
I retired from real work in 1999, but it took me a year to find Big Soccer, which has more than compensated for the loss.
Goff has Sarvas in his projected starting lineup, but apparently Harkes is fit. Canouse seems to be more than adequate in filling the DM role, so I don't see a need for more of Sarvas. Let the kid (Harkes) have a go. I would like to see what a lineup of Mullins, Stieber, Acosta Harkes, Canouse, and Arriola could do against a reeling Orlando City.
Birnbaum is available, but Robinson better get the start. This shut out streak shouldn't be spooked. Nevertheless, Harkes for Sarvas, pretty please. Please, please, please!
I've never seen Harkes make that much of a difference in a match, but that could change as he matures and plays with better midfield partners, such as Arriola, Canouse, and Stieber. We know what 35 year-old Sarvas brings. Harkes is 22 and should grow up among his young midfield partners.
we really need a new coaching staff. Is Odoi-Atsem injured now? not in the 18 but dead weight Jeffrey is. And Franklin, Birnbaum and Sarvas in the starting line up.
yeah, I guess it's hard to leave your captain out if healthy, but he's struggled quite a bit this year I guess the delusion of playoffs is in their heads
