Olayinka gets a phantom call dispossessing Handonovich, should be up and reckless back passing by Inter.
Slavia definitely look like a team that an play spoiler in this group so far. A slide tackle on GK has to be very clearly perfect, even the slightest contact will get a call. That's why I think he needed to keep his feet. I also continue to be impressed by Hovorka this season. It's between he and Kalvach for break out performance by a previously average player.
0-0 at halftime in Milan, could be worse but I feel we should have taken more advantage of some Inter errors. If we can hold-on another half to take a point home it would be mission accomplished though. It's ridiculous though, a fair tackle is a fair tackle regardless of who.
It's fun to see international pundits talk about how great Slavia's first half was while Czech ones point out how uncharacteristically hesitant they are on the ball. I think the truth is maybe between, Slavia's press and position rotation is doing very well on defense minus set-pieces, but its completely throwing their passing rhythm. Stanciu and Husbauer (who I'm surprised played) are basically spectators while Olayinka, Masopust and Soucek attempt to barrel through the defense and cause havoc on direct play.
Follow up a nervy first few minutes with our best passing move and a decent test of their keeper... feels like it could go either way or no way
Not even sure why they needed to VAR that, rightly a yellow. It does look like Traore may be injured though.
Fairplay to Slavia, but Inter don't look good at all. Very little urgency and little ability to get forward (though when they are there they look a bit dangerous).
Inter seem to be waking up for their final push, but the quality so far just isn't there. If I'm Slavia I don't bunker, your doing best defending Inter in the middle, keep playing your game.
Unfortunately, I think it means Slavia are dropping back and looking for a long ball option, also Masopust was gassed.
I realize it may be odd to criticize a manager that is a few minutes of stoppage time away from potentially winning their Champions League debut in Milan, but Tripsovsky's team was flying after their goal and they've dropped back and let Inter start getting chances.
what a weird shot too. A draw is still a good away result unless this homer ref has decided to make it 20 minutes now.
