Few blackouts I've done this week. Currently going through their makeover are the Vapor 7s and Miracle 3s

Not sure it'll work as well. It'll be hard to cover the old color, unless you are coming from a light color and even then you'll probably need a lot of layers.

This may be a strange question... I've been playing a lot of footy-golf lately and they have a no FG-cleat policy. I have flat indoor shoes but could really use some turf shoes since I slip all the time on wet grass. Most people wear turf shoes to being with. I honestly hate the large rubber sole with turf shoes and I want my foot to be closer to the ground.

Here's my question; I have alot of FG Tiempos and I'm thinking of shaving down some studs to make them smaller and passable for footy golf. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Has anyone ever done this?

    Thanks, greatly appreciated.

I would definitely recommend turf shoes still, will bring you alot closer to the ground.

The chinese forums are rife with people slicing their studs to make more suitable for sandy astro surfaces but tbh i wouldn't recommend it. won't quite get enough grip into the grass.

image.png image.png Had some leftover leather dye from blacking out some prime boost runners and decided to give my Bomba's a makeover. Never liked how loud they were.

If you want shorter studs why not get some AG or HG boots? The old adidas AG soleplate (before they switched to the FG/AG hybrid) had short studs, I wore it on baked hard ground at the start of the season a couple of times a few years ago and it worked well.

I used to do it to my Umbro Mach Owens and Pro K's, I loved the shoes and had several pairs but hated the stud length. I just used a dremel and a cutting attachement. Watch out though, it melts.

After a long deliberation, I decided to blackout my PureControls. To be honest, I wasn't even mad at the green stripes to begin with, but I said I would black them out eventually, so I did.

Let me know what you think

Thanks. I ground down the studs last week with a dremel. Melted a lot more than expected. I still feel like they are too long and will damage the footy golf tee box. Might take more off. It was at least worth a try.

Does anyone have any tips on turning some FG SF into SG - The back studs have broken off on my friends. And it's a shame to leave them just sitting there if it isn't too hard to do yourself. He doesn't have Nike studs but would the ones that they sell on PDS do the trick?

I added some SG studs to my Copa's. Was fairly straightforward on them, not sure how the soleplate on the Superflys would be.

I cut off the existing moulded stud and then filed til flat. Drill a small hole (diameter of stud thread) through the soleplate, making sure the angle is correct for the stud to sit. Then on the inside of the boot add a "tee-nut" through the drilled hole.

I did few conversions myself and turned out good.
This video was a big help and very simple to follow

Also, this is how it is done for the pros... :)

Cheers I'll get him to take a look at those. I have a friend who does it but he's in demand! He only needs to replace the back studs really.
