Gawd Mexico sucked so bad in 1998... every decision Lapuente made was wrong.. his bald ass was saved by the players individual talents & huevos... Temoc & Luis Hernandez turning the tide on North Korea, Ramirez putting the team on his shoulders against Belgium... Hernandez fighting tooth & nail against the Dutch... the only game Mexico looked solid as a group was against Germany.. in part because Germany was just a name in that tournament... they had nothing.
Raul Rodrigo Lara... that is a name I haven't heard in a while... a vaguely remember some fvcking moron lining him up as a CB against Bierhoff & Klinsmann... who was that fool? I can't remember his name but people said he had a brilliant head...
His team was decent in 1999 but horrendous in 1998 including all the friendlies in the build up to the WC.
