Sort of answering my own question here, but I see that the team website now lists coverage as "dcunited.com/live" rather than CSN. And there you have it.

I assume that will be a geo-blocked transmission of the opponent's broadcast.

    Thanks for checking.
Too bad that both American Football teams nearby had to have preseason games at the same time as DC United's game.

    This mistake is on MLS.

As far as I know, this is the first Thursday night game this season in MLS and they schedule it on a night that is traditionally flooded with MLS preseason games.

Not much CSN can do about that.

Except both games are partnered out to OTA stations as well.

I just noticed that too. Really DC Area? That's the best we can do?

Up until a couple years ago, CSN had HD exclusivity. I'm not sure there's anything left to make the deal special now.

This may have been answered already - I'm having a murderously bad time with Comcast and planning to leave them when I move to a new place - FiOS is available. Can I get CSN when I am not on Comcast?

Yes. I'm a former Comcast subscriber and when I moved I tried to subscribe but when installers saw that my house wasn't already hooked up they wouldn't install it. That's why I'm on FiOS.
