i hope so but its going to be awhile before he gets into the starting 11. he should wait it out as long as it takes but then again he is up there in age. Kikin should have waited.

he's not the fastest guy out there, but he's ability to keep the ball close to his feet and to take players on is what really make's him different. he never really played as a striker for cruz azul though. he played more of a support striker sending in crosses for your typical target striker. if he can regain he's old form i think he will be a very good signing for benfica.

just my honest opinion though nothing more.

Thanks to Delgado for his contributions, but it is time to move on. He is not on his best form anymore and does not look like hes desire to play hard is gone.

Do you really think that chelito would prefer to play for benfica instead of olympiacos, especially now that olympiacos qualified through next round of Champions League, and he will now have an extra motive to show up against the best 16 teams of Europe?

BORGETTI to the MLS!!!!!

I for one am glad to see him go. He is one hell of a player that can ONLY use his head. I don't know if MLS is a fit for him but it looks like he only wants to do it because of his family.

Great news. Chelito deserves this. He played well during his time in the FMF with Cruz Azul he just had badluck. He's a quality player and i have no doubts that once he gets the hang of the euro game, he'll be the Chelito that we all know and love.

Guys according to Noticiero Televisa Deportes Cruz Azul and Lyon reached an agreement on the transfer of chelo, what's left is for Lyon and Chelo to agree on personal terms......so it's most likely a done deal.......

don't worry Chelito is a great forward/winger. very good dribbling and finishing skills. pair him up with Richard Nuñez and you got a great attack.
