Alejandro Vela out for 3 months http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=919578&s=mex&type=story
********!!! Why did Little Eyes have to play him in that meaningless game!?? They should sue that Saprissa scumbag who injured him. A horrible injury in an absolutely meaningless game. Worst case scenario. ********!!!!
Meza says the doors are open if Ramon Nunez wants to leave, but i dont think ramon has said that he wants to leave theyre just misinterpreting his words plus he is a great player who just needs more playing time and as we saw when he got time in the concachampions he does good, hopefully he gets more playing time http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...-abre-la-puerta-a-ramon-nunez-si-se-quiere-ir
I know www.terra.com/futbol_estelar is going to stream the Chivas - Cruz Azul game live and for free on Saturday Nov 14 at 8 pm est. I hope this helps someone out.
We should be able to take out Puebla in the quarters... even though they are known for surprises... like when you have to fart and you find a nice secluded place and let it rip ... and you almost shit yourself. This is our tourney!!!
Why is it so quiet in here? The team is in semis, yet this is the first post in the forum in two weeks. Is this the Albanian forum?
I want to hear theories about Ojitos. How can he create so many memorable teams (Toros Neza, Toluca, Pachuca, Cruz Azul 09 (gasp)) and win so many titles, yet fail so miserably at the national team level (as well as Atlas, and the Clausura 04 Cruz Azul). Yes he manages a system that takes a while to learn (remember Pachuca kept him after losing his first 4-5 straight in the league), but that still doesn't explain the fall off at Atlas and Cruz Azul, or the national team given how much time he had them. Could it be his national team failure was because he didn't have them enough time (19 games over 9 months, but not the midweek training camps that Lavolpe had, or the month long camps prior to international cups like the Gold Cup or Copa America, only the Confed Cup preparation)? Does he have trouble handling stars? Is he too nice?
So...ummmm...yeah...Cruz Azul plays tomorrow. In case anyone was interested, they play at 7:00 pm (pacific).
Maybe the time he spent in Europe taking coaching classes right after he failed with the NT helped him a lot. Personally , I think it depends a lot more on the type of players and the over all situation in the locker room. With Toluca he had an excellent group of players, With Pachuca he had a whole system behind him and a group of players that were committed to that institution. I dont't think he has the personality to handle a group of primadonnas like the NT was when he took over. Those were the days when they still believed Mexico was Concacrap's king. The lack of training time hurt him of course. As far as present day Cruz Azul, We have been extremely lucky in some games and helped by the refs in others. But honestly, this group of guys play without balls most of the time in my opinion. It is like they just show up without much conviction. Maye I'm reading it wrong, but I just don't get that interested watching this team, and have a big concerns with this defense, probably the worse in many years. The game against the Mariposos should be a good test.
