I am not saying that Higuain was not quick. But Werner is very very quick. He is one of the quickest player in Bundesliga.
Which transfers would you like to see next season? I'd like : IN: Donnarumma, Werner/Dybala(Belotti) (we have this whole season to judge) OUT: Bale(Lucas if he wants to leave) Ronaldo-Dybala/Werner Isco Kroos-Casemiro-Modrić Marcelo-Ramos-Varane-Carvajal Donnarumma "Sub" XI: Mayoral-Benzema Asensio Ceballos-Llorente-Kovačić Theo-Vallejo-Nacho-Achraf Casilla Navas is a great GK,but he isn't as good as Oblak,Neuer,Courtois,DDG. Donnarumma will be just 19 next year, would lock down that GK position for possibly 15 years. Dybala is 23,Belotti 23, Werner 21. Also another possible lockdown for a century so no matter the fee,it could turn out to be a steal. Bale will be 29 next summer and he doesn't fit any position in the system that we play.
I'd get Dybala next summer and hope Werner sticks around for another year at RB so that we could snap him up in 2019. Ron would be close to 35 by then and Benz 32(Dec 2019). We need couple of big changes up front short term.
A better GK. For sure. That's something we can do without spending 100M (hopefully) and we need it. Navas is a great guy but he makes a lot of mistakes. The price tags for young strikers are in the stratosphere now but that would be my only other high priority addition. GK and CF.
MARCA:REAL MADRID, ATTENTIVE TO KEPA▪️ At the Bernabeu, they like him and he fits the profile of Real Madrid's future goalkeeper pic.twitter.com/TRhLpav4Uy— RmadridEdition (@RMadridEdition) September 18, 2017 MARCA:▪️ Athletic have been trying to renew Kepa's contract since January, they want to include a €65m release clause in new contract. pic.twitter.com/NJTnLAYjQ0— RmadridEdition (@RMadridEdition) September 18, 2017
Marca says Atheltic has been negotiating since January for renewal but talks have stalled. His contract runs out in 2018 according to Transfermarkt. Would be a great coup if we could sign him for free. Doubt Bilbao will let it happen though. Then benched Llorente for a whole season before Bosman move to Juve so kid will face tough time if he wants to leave for free. 894132233308704768 is not a valid tweet id 894132552864346112 is not a valid tweet id 894132838886506497 is not a valid tweet id
U-21 teammate of Asensio, Vallejo, Llorente, Dani and Mayoral. Maybe we have convinced him not to renew. Hope Marca hasn't made it harder by leaking it early.
IN: Griezmann, Laporte & DDG OUT: Bale & Casilla Ronaldo/Benzema - Griezmann/Mayoral Isco/Asensio/Lucas Kroos/Ceballos - Casemiro/Llorente - Kovacic/Modric Marcelo/Theo - Varane/Ramos/Vallejo/Nacho/Laporte - Dani/Achraf DDG/Navas/Zidane
So he's free to sign with another team in January? I'd snap him up. He's about the same height as Keylor, which means his reflexes will have to make up for his somewhat lacking stature for a GK. That said, ball distribution is a very valued asset for a GK, and would fit Zidane's system of trying to keep the ball more. It all starts from the back.
Laporte's buyout clause is 65 ME. And Bilbao doesn't negotiate with anyone. I think DDG train has passed as well. Too expensive and will turn 27 in November. Kepa on free would be a lot better. His current buyout is 30 ME.
Wouldn't be any better business than picking him up on a free, I'd still prefer a tall keeper who can command the area for once though.
You can easily get 6-7 years from DDG. I'm not sure why everyone all of a sudden is so eager on buying u-21 talent lol. If you want to keep winning trophies, it's sensible to buy youth but also don't neglect the short-term. DDG is a WC keeper and Kepa is not... yet. DDG's buy-out is 50 million no? As for Laporte's buy-out clause, I don't see any player on the market with Laporte's experience and potential. Especially at his age. Umtiti would've been a steal at the price Barca got him for, but alas, he joined them. I think maybe Jonathan Tah rivals them in terms of potential but he plays in Varane's position (RCB) while Laporte (and Umtiti) play primarily as LCB. I'm still surprised why Zidane hasn't seen Vallejo's potential for CDM.
Don't want DDG anywhere near this team. Honestly I don't see any transfers happening between us and Man U anytime soon. I'm sure they would love to get Bale if we decide to sell him, but I would rather see him go to another EPL team just like Morata if he does leave.
Do you realize how much it would cost to pry him away from United/EPL with his new contract? I think you are incorrect on his buy out clause. I don't think it would be possible to get him for anything less than 75-100 ME. It would be stupid to waste that kind of money on a GK. It's the easiest position to acquire for reasonable fees, even in this market. We would be smart to continue spending wisely as it looks like we will have to fork out 100-150 ME on a new young CF at some point.
Have anyone seen Pietro Pellegri of Genoa? He is just 16 but looks really imposing. He is 1.93 m at 16. He just scored a brace against Lazio. Inter has interest in him but he is someone worth keeping an eye on.
Anything over 40m for a keeper even with inflation these days is ridiculous. Even if DDG has 10 years left at 75m it isn't worth it, especially with zero resale value. I'd rather someone like Courtois, one year left on his deal after this season. Chelsea wouldn't sell easily but they don't have much leverage, worth looking into.
What's with our obsession with reflex keepers? Navas is 1.85, Casillas was 1.81, Buyo was 1.79. I'd take Donnarumma in a heartbeat, amazing goalkeeper, 1.96m and only 18. Would secure that position for a decade and a half. Reflex reliant goalkeepers age badly. Buffon is 39 and was a strong candidate for Ballon d'Or due to previous year performances . Made 2 UCL finals recently and is winning the league every year. Meanwhile Casillas got shipped of to Porto at 34 and had a terrible season before that. Navas already showing signs at 30.
LaLiga champions have already started planning for next summer with Athletic Club goalkeeper Kepa set to become available on a free transfer in June 2018. Looking ahead, Los Blancos have already expressed their interest in the player to his agent, although bringing him to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will not be a straightforward process. Athletic want Kepa to stay and they claim he sees his future with the Basques, but nearly 10 months into the negotiations of his new deal there is still no agreement. The club want to increase the player's release clause - currently 10 million euros - to 65m, which would make him the player with the highest clause in their squad. It was Athletic's intention to wrap up discussions after the European U21 Championship but a meeting in August showed that both sides were some way from an agreement. Soon, Kepa will be free to discuss terms with other clubs and Real, having already expressed an interest, could be hard to turn down for the exciting goalkeeper. http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2017/09/19/59c01c50268e3e603c8b4569.html
